Vocabulary learning is the basis of English learning.Cultivating students’ vocabulary learning ability is an important part of English teaching.The current vocabulary teaching activity design is in the aspects of modeling,surface layering and fragmentation,which neglects the cultivation of students’ vocabulary ability.National English Curriculum Standards for General High School(2017 Edition)puts forward the concept of English learning activities,which advocates students to cultivate the ability to analyze and solve problems by participating in effective learning activities,internalizing knowledge and integrating skills.Teachers should design English learning activities that are comprehensive,relevant and practical.Through learning,comprehension,application practice,transfer and innovation,and other activities that integrate language,culture,and thinking,students develop multiple thinking and critical thinking to improve their English learning and application skills.It can be seen that teaching under the guidance of the concept of English learning activities is one of the teaching methods that needs to be changed in the new curriculum reform.Therefore,this study,from the perspective of English learning activity,combines Constructivism learning theory and Bloom’s educational goal classification theory to design vocabulary teaching activities.The author takes 120 students from two parallel classes in the first grade of a key senior high school in Lei yang City as the research object,and adopts the methods of literature,investigation and experiment to discuss the following three problems:First,how can vocabulary teaching activities be designed from the perspective of English learning activities? Second,what effects do the vocabulary teaching activities designed from the perspective of English learning activities have on Senior High School student’s English vocabulary learning level? Third,what effects do the vocabulary teaching activities designed from the perspective of English learning activities have on Senior High School student’s English vocabulary learning interest and methods? After consulting the relevant literature at home and abroad,and investigating and analyzing the current situation of English vocabulary teaching activities in senior high school,the author takes the view of English learning activities as the perspective,seizing its core element "three levels of activities" to design vocabulary teaching activities at three levels of learning understanding,application practice and transfer innovation.Based on this,the design principles,design strategies,and design of teaching activity evaluation for these three types of vocabulary teaching activities are proposed.Then,referring to the above design,this study carried out nearly one semester of teaching practice.The experimental classdeveloped English vocabulary teaching activities designed from the perspective of English learning activities,the specific teaching process is: in the vocabulary teaching class of the experimental class,first carry out the activities of learning understanding,then carry out the activities of application Practice finally carry out the activities of migration and innovation.The control class carried out traditional vocabulary teaching activities.At the end of the one semester teaching practice,the experimental data were collected by means of English vocabulary test,questionnaire survey and other research tools,and the experimental data were statistically analyzed by spss19.0 software.The results show that vocabulary teaching activities designed from the perspective of the concept of English learning activities can stimulate students’ interest in vocabulary learning;students’ vocabulary learning level has been improved and their vocabulary learning strategies have been enriched.
