In recent years,a series of campus violence has aroused widespread concern of the public on children’s aggressive behavior. For rural children, the absence of family education, the lack of school education resources and the loss of peer relationships and other reasons all have increased the occurrence of their aggressive behavior to a certain extent,so the relevant government departments and all sectors of society should pay close attention to and attach great importance to their aggressive behavior.Specifically, rural children will inevitably be affected by different risk factors in many ecological fields in real life, and these risk factors usually act on their aggressive behavior in the form of accumulation.Based on this, this study intends to explore the impact of cumulative ecological risk on rural children’s aggressive behavior. Then on the base of these,to test the role of empathy and moral disengagement in the above relationship,in order to provide suggestions for the intervention of rural children’s aggressive behavior. In this study,845 junior middle school students from two rural middle schools in different counties in Hunan Province were investigated by using the cumulative ecological risk index questionnaire, aggression questionnaire, empathy scale and moral disengagement questionnaire to investigate the impact of cumulative ecological risk on rural children’s aggressive behavior and the role of empathy and moral disengagement in the above relationship. The results showed that:(1)There were significant gender differences in empathy and moral disengagement of rural children, they showed that the empathy score of boys was significantly lower than girls, while boys had higher moral disengagement scores than girls; The cumulative ecological risk and moral disengagement scores of rural children were significantly different in whether they were boarding or not, which showed that the scores of non-boarding children were significantly higher than that of boarding children; In terms of significant grade differences between cumulative ecological risk, moral disengagement and aggressive behavior, which showed that the scores of the third grade were tallest compared with the first and second grade.(2)There was an evident positive correlation between cumulative ecological risk, aggressive behavior and moral disengagement of rural children.Empathy had a negative correlation with cumulative ecological risk,a significant positive correlation with aggressive behavior and a significant negative correlation with moral disengagement. Moreover, cumulative ecological risk could significantly positive predict rural children’s aggressivebehavior.(3)In the relationship between cumulative ecological risk and rural children’s aggressive behavior, moral disengagement played a partial mediating role, empathy played a moderating role, and the four constituted a moderated mediation model.(4)Cumulative ecological risk could indirectly affect rural children’s aggressive behavior through moral disengagement, and the mediating effect was moderated by empathy, specifically moderating the former part of the mediating effect model. The main conclusions showed that: cumulative ecological risk can positively predict the aggressive behavior of rural children, moral disengagement played a part of intermediary role in both, and empathy moderated the former part of the mediating effect model. Therefore,it is very important to pay close attention to the risk factors that rural children may face,to improve their empathy ability and reduce their moral disengagement,in order to build a comprehensive intervention system for rural children’s aggressive behavior. |
