| Prosocial behavior is a kind of behavior that is beneficial to others or has a positive impact on the society. It is important for the harmonious development of individuals or the whole society to cultivate children’s excellent behavior of prosocial behavior. The physical and mental development of children in junior middle school is in a critical period, especially in rural areas. Most of these children are left behind children. As a special group, they need the care and love of all sectors of society. The causes of prosocial behavior are complex, including family, school, community safety, children’s own personality characteristics and other factors, and often a single risk factor is not enough to affect children’s prosocial behavior. Therefore, studying the impact of multiple cumulative risk factors on rural children’s prosocial behavior is not only conducive to the development of rural children’s prosocial behavior, but also to their physical and mental health The harmonious development of society has important practical significance. In order to investigate the relationship between cumulative ecological risk and rural children’s prosocial behavior, and the role of empathy, the cumulative ecological risk questionnaire, prosocial behavior questionnaire and empathy questionnaire were used in this study.880 students from four schools, including Yongxing County,Lengshuitan County,Hunan Province and Chaonan District,Shantou City,Guangdong Province, were selected for questionnaire survey. The investigation found that:(1)There are significant gender differences in empathy and prosocial behavior of rural children. In empathy and prosocial behavior level, girls are significantly higher than boys;there are also grade differences in cumulative ecological risk, empathy and prosocial behavior.Generally speaking, the cumulative ecological risk of lower grade is higher than that of higher grade, and the level of prosocial behavior and empathy of lower grade is lower than that of higher grade.(2)There is a correlation between cumulative ecological risk and prosocial behavior and empathy.Cumulative ecological risk has a significant reverse prediction effect on rural children’s prosocial behavior and empathy.Empathy to a certain extent affects the relationship between cumulative ecological risk and prosocial behavior, and empathy has a significant positive prediction effect on prosocial behavior.(3)Empathy plays an intermediary role in the relationship between cumulativeecological risk and rural children’s Pro social behavior. The results show that cumulative ecological risk has a reverse predictive effect on rural children’s Pro social behavior, and empathy plays a part of intermediary role between cumulative ecological risk and pro social behavior. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to pay close attention to the risk factors that lurk around rural children and take scientific measures to improve the empathy ability and the pro social behavior of rural children. |
