Research On Cai Yuanpei’s Religious Thought Of Aesthetic Education

Cai Yuanpei,as a famous democratic revolutionist,educator and aesthetic master in modern Chinese history,has been praised and worshipped by the world for his life stories,academic achievements and ideas.Its essence is to replace the imprisonment of religion with scientific exploration,to pursue the path of beauty with the freedom of human spiritual world,and to revitalize the nation’s future with the independence of education.His thoughts reveal the essence of religion to a certain extent and bring aesthetic education to the level of national spirit.This article will discuss its thoughts from three aspects:The first part mainly discusses Cai Yuanpei’s social and historical background and theoretical source of " replacing religion with aesthetic education".Cai Yuanpei’s thought of " replacing religion with aesthetic education" was born at the time of the may 4th movement.under the lack of people’s belief,the invasion of western church thought and the chaotic social ideology of religious salvation theory,Cai Yuanpei finally put forward this idea.From the theoretical source,Cai Yuanpei’s early experience of studying abroad in the west made his thoughts not only pay attention to western humanism,but also inherit the thoughts of Schiller and Kant.In addition,Chinese traditional culture has been integrated into it,forming its unique theoretical system.The second part mainly discusses the main content of Cai Yuanpei’s " replacing religion with aesthetic education".The author divides his main thoughts into two parts.One is the religious view with " aesthetic education" as its core.This paper focuses on Cai Yuanpei’s understanding and understanding of religion and criticizes the theory of saving the nation by religion in the society at that time,delineates the boundary between the state and religion,and advocates aesthetic education to change the lack of belief of the people.Constructing the national spiritual home.The second is the aesthetic education view with"aesthetic education" as the core.This paper focuses on Cai Yuanpei’s definition of"aesthetic education" and its implementation.In Cai Yuanpei’s view,aesthetic education is independent of religion,and its core is aesthetics and education.In fact,the original religion was education.Education will continue to progress with the development of the times.However,religion is just stuck in its old ways and imprisons its thoughts.Eventually religion will be replaced by philosophy.The third part mainly discusses the spiritual essence and contemporary value of"replacing religion with aesthetic education".Judging from the time background at that time,Cai Yuanpei’s thought has progressive ideas,which can help the national spirit to be free from the imprisonment of religion.Can play the role of aesthetic education in national education from the perspective of education and aesthetics.Its essence is to reconstruct the national spiritual belief and replace the ideological imprisonment of religion with human spiritual pursuit.From a practical point of view," replacing religion with aesthetic education" can provide reference for our country to solve religious problems.From the theoretical level,it expounds the understanding of the essence of religion and strengthens the research theory of religion,advocates replacing religious belief with philosophy,cultivates people’s positive and upward spiritual pursuit,and changes the theoretical viewpoint of national spiritual life from ideology,which is worthy of our reference.Secondly,it can also provide constructive help for today’s moral crisis.It is completely feasible to redeem people’s emotional morality with aesthetic education and construct a socialist harmonious society with aesthetic education.Only when one feels beauty and freedom emotionally can one’s spirit transcend material confinement and gain real freedom.
