Culture teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Teaching based on classical literature is also an important topic in academic circles and it continues to be discussed.Under the trend of the standardization and regionalization of Chinese international promotion from the unified mode into a country,it has become extremely essential.But there is almost no specialized and targeted teaching theory and project design.As a result,the author attempts to make a teaching design based on the characteristics of southeast Asian students,combine with the spread of Journey to the West in southeast Asia in terms of its contents and the original characteristics with its culture.Its shining points will be used in cultural teaching Chinese as a foreign language,taking the seventh chapter in Journey to the West as an example.Its main idea is about Escape from the Great Holy Five Elements mountain and Centering Ape in the Eight Tribage-Furnace.The author hopes that through this attempt,this thesis can not only improve the students’ Chinese level,but also spread the excellent Chinese culture in Journey to the West to the overseas and enrich the theoretical thinking and practical operation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper is divided into four chapters,and the general contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which describes the purpose,object,contents and methods of the topic.Meanwhile,it summarizes the domestic and foreign researches on the overseas transmission of Journey to the West in teaching Chinese as a Foreign language.The second chapter,based on the characteristics of southeast Asian students,the author combined with the conditions and the spread of the Journey to the West from multiple dimensions.For example,the cultural contents in the Journey to the West are used to locate the contents of culture teaching analysis.What’s more,this chapter illustrates the guiding ideology of teaching design,clarifies the principle of selection of teaching contents and teaching principle,making a design of teaching plan feasible and practical.The third chapter mainly focuses on a questionnaire survey and its analysis which is centered on southeast Asian students of Hunan university about their understanding of Journey to the West,mastering and teaching requirements and the growing point of the examination.Finally,through the analysis of the results of the survey it aims at the problems,determines the specific contents of teaching design,and carry out the design for advanced learners of Chinese culture teaching in southeast Asia.The fourth chapter takes the seventh chapter of Journey to the West,Escape from the Great Holy Five Elements mountain and Centering Ape in the Eight Tribage-Furnace as an example to make a sample design,and states the theoretical basis of choosing it as the teaching content.Finally,based on the principles described in the second and third chapters and the questionnaire analysis,a specific teaching plan is designed.
