A Phonetic Study Of Cangwu Goulou Dialect In Guangxi

98% of the residents in Cangwu County of Guangxi are Cantonese native speakers,and there are a small number of Hakka and Yao dialects within the borders.According to China’s Linguistics Atlas,the Cantonese dialects in the rural areas belong to Cantonese Goulou dialects.Yang Huandian etc.also divided the dialect of rural areas of Cangwu County into Goulou in Guangxi Chinese dialects(Draft).The paper studies the phonetic system of the dialect of rural areas of Cangwu County in Guangxi,that is,the phonology of Cangwu County in Guangxi.The contents is divided into six parts: the first part mainly introduces the geographical environment,historical evolution and the research status of Cangwu Goulou dialect in Guangxi.The second part introduces the phonology of Guangxi Cangwu Goulou dialect,describes the characteristics of initial,final and tone of Guangxi Cangwu Goulou dialect,summarizes the rules of phonetic change.The third part describes the homophony vocabulary of Cangwu Goulou dialect in Guangxi.The fourth part compares the phonology of Guangxi Cangwu Goulou dialect with that of the middle age from three aspects: initial,final and tone.The fifth part compares the phonology of Guangxi Cangwu Goulou dialect with Putonghua phonology.And summarized the characteristics from three aspects: initial,final and tone.The sixth part compares the phonology of Cangwu Goulou dialect in Guangxi with Guangdong Goulou dialects,and analyzes and summarizes the consistency and differences of the phonetic features between the two.The paper is the first time to research Cangwu dialect in Guangxi and collects abundant first-hand materials.It comprehensively presents the phonetic features of Cangwu dialect in Guangxi and compares and analyzes the regional differences and common features in the phonetic system of Cangwu dialect.It also summarizes the phonetic features of Cangwu dialect.By comparing Cangwu dialect with Putonghua and middle age phonology,the paper discusses the historical evolution of Cangwu dialect.Based on the detailed description and in-depth analysis of Guangxi Cangwu dialect and the paper compares the phonetic systems of Cangwu dialect and Guangdong Goulou Cantonese.And it is found that the consistency of Guangxi Goulou dialect and Guangdong Goulou dialect is greater than the difference.
