| The middle school years is a key stage for students to acquire knowledge and learn languages.Among the four skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing,reading and writing play important roles in the process of language learning.The English Curriculum Standard for senior high school(2017 edition)puts forward five levels of target requirements for reading and writing skills in language skills.Reading is an important form of language input,while writing is an important form of language output.They promote each other and can not be separated in the process of language learning.In the current English teaching,most teachers teach reading and writing separately,which is very disadvantageous to students’ comprehensive acquisition and proper use of the language.The writing part is the weak part of the students.Therefore,the “integration of reading and writing” provides a new way of thinking for English teaching.The “integration of reading and writing” can not only provide students with ideas and can increase the students’ interests of writing,but also continuously implement the core quality of the new curriculum.The aim of this study is to cultivate students’ sense of English through the application of the “integration of reading and writing” in the teaching of writing in senior high school,so that students can accumulate more language knowledge in the reading process and their language expression ability can be improved,so as to promote the improvement of students’ English writing level,and to compare with the traditional teaching of writing,put forward better teaching suggestions.This study puts forward the following three research questions by reading the relevant literature and combining the study of students in the internship school:1.Can “integration of reading and writing” improve the overall writing ability of high school students?2.How does the teaching mode of “integration of reading and writing” affect students’ learning emotion and learning attitude?3.How does the teaching mode of “integration of reading and writing” affect the cultivation of students’ thinking quality in the core literacy?The study,based on nearly four months of observation,chose 90 students in two classes in the first grade of the Experimental High School of Jinan as research subjects.Two classes are chose as experimental classes and control classes,of which Class 14 was the experimental class and Class 15 was the control class.Based on Krashen’s input hypothesis and Swain’s output hypothesis,the data are collected through pre-writing and post-writing tests,interviews and questionnaires.Before the experiment,the students in the two classes were tested to make sure that their writing level was equal,and the students were given questionnaires and collected in time to find out the current situation of their English writing Before the experiment,English teachers of grade one in Senior High School were interviewed to understand the teaching methods and related teaching strategies.After the experiment,two classes were tested,and the data were collected and analyzed.The research shows that compared with the traditional writing teaching,“integration of reading and writing”can improve students’ overall writing ability,and students’ writing achievement is obviously improved;The teaching mode of “integration of reading and writing” has a positive effect on students’ learning emotion and learning attitude.Students are interested in the writing class and can use it on the basis of reading The teaching mode of “integration of reading and writing” can cultivate students’ divergent thinking,critical thinking and can integrate the knowledge absorbed by reading into writing,it is of great help to cultivate the students’ thinking quality in the core accomplishment.In addition,there are some limitations in this study.In the research process,the research sample is small,the two parallel classes selected as subjects can not represent other schools and other students more comprehensively;the research time is short,and it takes some time for students to accept the new teaching model,this may be extended to one academic year in subsequent studies. |
