| In the context of the Sino-US trade war and the global economic downturn, promoting consumption and expanding domestic demand has become the focus of boosting China’s economy.Under the background of complete poverty alleviation, the subsistence consumption needs of Chinese residents have been basically met.It will begin to shift to high-level consumption represented by cultural consumption. However, due to the imbalance of China’s economic development, there are obvious regional differences in the development of cultural consumption in China, which is very unfavorable to the overall development of cultural consumption.Consumption research focuses on the development of national cultural consumption from the macro and micro perspectives and from the perspective of supply and demand.Part of the research on regional differences in cultural consumption is not systematic, and there is a lack of research on the development characteristics and laws of cultural consumption at different stages of development. This article is based on life cycle theory,Which aims to study the regional differences of cultural consumption in China from both sides of supply and demand by analyzing the regular characteristics of cultural consumption in the initial stage, development stage, and mature stage.Based on theoretical analysis and analysis of regional data characteristics, this paper first proposes that my country’s cultural consumption is currently at a mature stage, central China is at a stage of development, and western China is at a start-up stage. It also proposes a basic model based on cultural consumption related theories and existing research. The explanatory variable is per capita cultural consumption expenditure, and the explanatory variable is per capita disposable income, per capita cultural industry output, per capita total cultural fiscal expenditure, per capita food consumption expenditure/per capita total consumption expenditure. Then, firstly, the difference coefficient, cluster analysis, and Theil index method are used to quantify the regional differences of cultural consumption in the east, middle and west of my country. Then, based on the basic model, the actual data is used to verify the viewpoints raised in the theoretical analysis above, and put forward The relationship between variables is expected. Finally, based on the regional differences in cultural consumption in the eastern, central and western regions of China, the central and western regions of the dummy variable and the main explanatory variable cross-terms are added to the basic model, and the fixed-effect model is used to empirically test the relationship expectations between the variables. Finally,it is concluded that the development of cultural consumption in the eastern region is at a mature stage, and the development of cultural consumption tends to be saturated. The cultural consumption in the central region is in the development stage and is developing at a high speed. The western region is in the initial stage, and the current overall level is low and the development is slow.On the demand side, because the central region is currently in the development period and cultural consumption is not yet saturated, the positive effect of income is the largest.Because the eastern region is in the mature period, cultural consumption demand has been saturated,so the positive impact of income on cultural consumption is weaker than that of the central region.Since the western region is in the initial stage, the level of cultural consumption is low and the development is slow,so the role of income is not significant. On the supply side and market supply, the central region,on the one hand, has the largest proportion of cultural industry structure, and on the other hand, because of the rapid development of cultural industries in the development period,it has the strongest positive effect. The eastern region has a relatively small proportion of cultural industries and cultural industries. The industrial development is in the mature stage, and the development is relatively stable,so the positive effect is the second. However, the western region is in the early stage and the cultural industry supply capacity is relatively poor,so it is not significant. In terms of government supply, the role of government supply is to provide basic culture on the one hand.Activity venues and services,on the other hand, cultivate residents’ cultural and living habits to enhance cultural consumption awareness and promote cultural consumption. The eastern and central regions are in a mature and developing period, their own cultural infrastructure services are relatively sound, and residents’ cultural and living habits have been cultivated.Government supply cannot play a role in enhancing cultural consumption awareness and promoting consumption through the development of cultural life habits. Therefore, government supply in the eastern and central regions does not play a significant role.In the western region,on the one hand, due to the initial stage of cultural consumption development, culturally related Infrastructure construction is poor.At the same time, the western government carried out a lot of poverty alleviation work during the study year, which squeezed the government’s public cultural service supply, and exacerbated the lack of cultural public facilities and services in the western region. Therefore, the increase in government supply will affect the western region. The level of cultural consumption in areas in the early stage of cultural consumption has a significant positive impact. |
