English is an important subject in compulsory education,but the listening and speaking ability of junior high school students has always been a difficult problem for students and teacher.With the progress of science and technology,more and more schools introduce the advanced educational equipment into the campus and the application of mobile terminal in the class is also favored by more and more schools.The theoretical advantages of using mobile terminal application in the class are very obvious,but the application of mobile terminal in junior high school English listening and speaking teaching is still relatively rare.This paper mainly discusses how to combine the mobile terminal with junior high school English listening and speaking teaching and how to design the teaching with the help of Yikenet platform based on mobile terminal,so as to realize the deep integration of information technology and English subject.This paper mainly discusses two problems:(1)How should teacher use the mobile terminal to design the teaching?(2)What is the impact of using mobile terminal to students’ English listening and speaking.The participants of this research are the students of grade two in junior high school.Through two rounds of action research,the author uses questionnaire,interview and tests to find problems and solve problems.The teaching design of using mobile terminal in English listening and speaking teaching includes before class,in class and after class.Before class,teacher can use the mobile terminal to assign the preview and teacher can check the situation of students.In class,teacher can use the mobile terminal to send the video to students and students can use the mobile terminal to hand in the answer of listening task so that teacher can check students’ answer through the mobile terminal.After class,teacher can use the mobile terminal to assign the homework and students can use the mobile terminal to consolidate the knowledge.After implementing two rounds research,the author finds that students’ listening and speaking ability,students’ learning attitude,organizational form of learning activities,students’ learning method,students’ learning experience and students’ ability to use information technology have improved,which indicates that using mobile terminal in English listening and speaking teaching can make positive impact to students.Through two rounds of action research,the author finds that(1)The amount of preview and the type of preview and homework assigned by the mobile terminal will affect students to finish it.(2)Whether teacher talks about the preview situation of students will affect the performance of students in the class.(3)Some students still are poor self-control when using the mobile terminal in learning.Based on these findings,the author puts forward the following suggestions.(1)Using mobile terminal to assign preview or homework should consider quality rather than quantity.(2)The preview and homework should be diversified and attractive.(3)Teacher should make the connection between preview content and class content.(4)Teacher should pay attention to developing students self-control ability of using mobile terminal for extracurricular learning.
