| Since the beginning of the 21st century,China’s economic and political status has improved significantly,but there is a huge deficit in the import and export of cultural products.The journal of Chinese Literature and series ceased publication in 2001,and China’s culture going global has a long way to go.Nowadays,from the implementation of the basic policy of opening up and the "going global" strategy,to the proposal of Xi Jinping’s concept of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics,China has intensified its efforts in external publicity,enhanced its cultural soft power and built its global voice remain important tasks in the new era.As a bridge between languages and cultures,translation is one of the important means for China to convey its ideas to the world,enhance understanding with other countries,and achieve win-win cooperation.In international communication,there are some controversial issues with regard to,e.g.,the translator selection and how to deal with the relationship between the original text and audiences’ taste,and how to build up the international discourse system and so on.However,there has been no systematic study on the theme distribution,research content and research methods in the past two decades.In this study,qualitative research and meta-research methods were adopted,and CSSCI papers in CNKI from January 1,2001,to October 31,2020,were collected as analysis materials.The qualitative research tool NVivol2 Plus was used for classification and summary.This study summarizes the translators,contents,channels,audience,and translation effects of China’s culture going global through translation in the past two decades,and gives corresponding suggestions on all aspects according to the data.It also analyzes the controversial issues other than the five aspects of Laswell’s communication theory.This study summarizes various controversial issues in Chinese and foreign translation based on the data. |
