The strategy of Chinese culture going global is an external cultural strategy proposed by the Chinese government since the overall planning and practice of the "going global"strategy in the early 21st century.Based on the historical inheritance and diversity and inclusiveness of Chinese culture,the strategy is a political positioning and strategic consideration for promoting the international dissemination of Chinese culture in the new century from the top-level design level.Comprehensively considering the academic motif of Chinese culture going global from the perspectives of national strategy,international communication,and historical culture,this study believes that the strategy of Chinese culture going global is essentially an international communication strategy of Chinese culture that takes the spirit of Chinese culture as its ideological connotation.At present,the strategic practice of Chinese culture going global is facing with external pressure and internal contradictions.The implementation and advancement of the strategy of Chinese culture going global is undergoing shocks from dramatic changes and adjustments of globalization,the structure of Sino-US relations,the international pattern,and China’s relations with the rest of the world.On the one hand,under the influence of a new round of international isolationism,unilateralism,populism,and "China threat theory",Chinese culture is facing an export-oriented dilemma of "cultural exception","civilizational isolation",and "cultural threat".On the other hand,as a national strategy,Chinese culture going global also exposes to a certain extent the subjectivity contradictions in the innovation of related cultural strategy theories,which are mainly manifested in the difficulties of understanding,constructing,and disseminating the meaning of Chinese culture to the world.Accordingly,in the face of new realities and challenges,we must do some serious thinking:How to creatively explain the "commonality" of Chinese culture to the world on the basis of adhering to the stand of Chinese culture?Finally,what we want to achieve is the breakthrough of the extroversion of Chinese culture and the enhancement of the inspirational force of Chinese culture.We need to contribute ontologically the wisdom of Chinese culture to promote the transformation of the world cultural order.Therefore,this study suggests that the strategy of Chinese culture going global needs to analyze and refine the spirit of Chinese culture on the basis of cognitive basic goals(national strategic interests),process goals(promotion of cross-cultural identity)and ideal goals(change of world cultural order),making them to be the great value support of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.This thesis hopes to provide ontological basis and source for the strategy of Chinese culture going global and find a universal way for the special Chinese culture to "come on stage".The purpose of this study was to let "Chinese culture going global" as a strategy be helpful to the promoting of world’s attention acceptance and recognition towards Chinese culture in the global cultural system and communication ecology,combined with a leap in the transformation of world cultural order and the harmonious coexistence of diverse civilizations.Finally,this study will try to answer the "two major questions" of Chinese culture strategically from a theoretical research level:1)Why should Chinese culture "go out"?2)How should Chinese culture"go out"?The theoretical logic of this thesis is that the strategy of Chinese culture going global needs to focus on the organic unity of the subjectivity of the national cultural strategy,the interculturality of international communication,and the ontology of the spirit of Chinese culture.The practical goals of the strategy should reflect the unity of self-interest,the interests of others and the common values of all mankind.The strategy of Chinese culture going global should be developed with cultural consciousness in "globalization" context,so to realize the cultural ideal of "super-ego" with the cultural awareness of "self",achieve the strategic goal of national culture imperceptibly,inject Chinese wisdom and cultural vitality into the cultural development of the world system,and realize the ideal goal of the Chinese culture going global strategy in the interaction between system units and structures.Returning to the ontology of Chinese culture,the topic of the thesis is to discover the relationship between people and people,people and nature,culture and culture,and the"living together in harmony" of different civilizations and other characteristics such as"commonality" on the basis of the universality and particularity of Chinese culture.Thus,this thesis hopes to propose effective solution---the usage of Chinese wisdom to deal with common challenge and conflicts facing all humanity---to the realization of Chinese culture going global.The overall structure of this thesis reflects a strategic perspective of study,hoping to constitute the basic framework of the study of Chinese culture going global from the strategic background,strategic goals,source of strength(as the ideological connotation and value support of the strategy)to strategic practice.This paper is mainly divided into five parts:The first chapter is the background analysis of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.This part will mainly define the concept of Chinese culture going global from the perspective of national strategy,international communication,and historical culture.At the same time,starting from the national strategic attributes,cross-cultural nature,and the background and procedural characteristics of the integration into the international political and cultural system covered by the strategy of Chinese culture going global,this chapter integrates the basic issues and methods of strategic research,cross-cultural communication research and international relations research.The theoretical background of the strategy of Chinese culture going global is sorted out and the practical problems faced are also analyzed.The second chapter is the theoretical reflection on the strategy of Chinese culture going global,which is mainly oriented by practical problems and integrated into the new research paradigm.This chapter will discuss the core elements of the strategic thought of Chinese culture going global as an international communication strategy,the concept of cross-cultural communication,and the concept of discuss the theoretical research basis based on the premise of cultural self-awareness.This chapter is gate for the thesis to go from the theoretical foundation&the analysis of practical problems to the theoretical innovation.It’s also the logical starting point for this article to try to answer "why and how should Chinese culture go out".The third chapter is the analysis of the practical goals of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.This part mainly proposes the basic goals,process goals and ideal goals of the strategy of going global of Chinese culture from the perspective of national strategic interests,cross-cultural identity,and world cultural order,and then clarifies for this research.Based on the unity of the national strategic interests and the goals of the transformation of the world cultural order,we should use cross-cultural identity as the goal to explore the ontological value of Chinese culture.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the source of strength of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.As the theoretical innovation part of this thesis,the fourth chapter mainly starts from the ontology of Chinese culture,then explore into concepts as "peopleoriented","people and people","people and nature","culture and culture" in Chinese culture thoroughly.At the end of this chapter,the writer hops to sum up the characteristics of "humanity","relationality" and "interdependence" of Chinese culture and analyzes the great value of its "commonality" and theoretical application dimension.The fifth chapter is the practical and prospective analysis of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.It is mainly based on the analysis of the ideological connotation of"humanity","relationality" and "interdependence" of the strategy of Chinese culture going global in the previous chapters.The analysis of communication practice is a window to the exploration of the international communication model of Tang and Song Dynasties,which digs into Chinese ancient international communication mode---Chinese ancient poetry,overseas monks,and tea ceremony culture---as the historical experiences to provide reference and reference for the analysis of the communication media of the strategy of Chinese culture going global.In the practice-outlooking part of this chapter,the combing of the concept history of Chinese traditional culture is the basic project of the strategic practice of Chinese culture going global.The construction of a humanistic community from the perspective of "shared history" gives target guidance for the strategy of Chinese culture going global and also provides innovative ideas at the micro-path level.
