With the advancement of the new curriculum reform,the task-based language teaching approach(TBLT)mentioned in the new curriculum has attracted widespread attention.As a new international widespread foreign language teaching method,TBLT emphasizes the cultivation of students’ ability of language use.What’ more,it has helped to change the present situation of traditional teaching way in which over-emphasized knowledge inculcation but neglected ability improvement.Therefore,the localized study on TBLT has become a trend in theory and practice in China.On the one hand,many scholars are committed to exploring Chinese TBLT,On the other hand,many teachers are committed to deepening their understanding of the use of TBLT in their teaching practice.To promote the further implementation of TBLT,the thesis seeks to remedy these problems by analyzing the existing problems in the application of TBLT,examing the possible reasons,and proposing some integrative strategies.Questionnaires and interviews were employed in this study for data collection.The results showed that there existed some problems in implementing TBLT in the class.The design of tasks is unreasonable and the tasks lacks of pertinence.There is no lead-in part and subjectivity in the process of tasks.Besides,the task-oriented teaching evaluation system is single and not perfect.Based on the existing problems,the author makes a reason analysis: The theoretical understanding of TBLT is insufficient;the professional ability of TBLT is poor;the implementation object has a weak foundation and the environment of TBLT is not good.Based on the analysis,this study puts forward corresponding countermeasures to solve these problems,including teachers should change the teaching ideas and deepen their understanding of TBLT,improve their professional abilities of carrying out tasks in practice,change the way of evaluation and provide best-quality evaluation system.Finally,they should create a good task-based teaching environment by improving facilities.
