A Study On Morality Cultivation Thought Of Mencius

Mencius,as one of the representative figures of Confucianism,is famous for his good theory of nature.In order to study Mencius’ moral cultivation thoughts,we should take Mencius as the starting point,combine the social and historical environment,Mencius lived in and the influence of the moral cultivation thoughts of various pre-Qin schools,and make an overall combing of Mencius’ moral cultivation thoughts.This paper is divided into five parts.The first section is the introduction,which mainly discusses the research significance and research overview of Mencius’ moral cultivation thought.The second section mainly uses the historical analysis method to investigate the social environment in which Mencius lived,in order to clarify the social factors of the formation of Mencius’ philosophy.The third section analyzes the theoretical basis of Mencius’ thought of moral cultivation,and explores the source of morality and the possibility of returning to goodness after losing morality.The fourth section discusses the content of Mencius’ moral cultivation thought,clarifying the goals and ways of moral cultivation and the cultivation methods of keeping one’s heart,nourishing one’s mind and seeking rest assured.The fifth section analyzes the effect of Mencius’ moral cultivation,and discusses the ideal state and practical significance from the perspective of inner saint and outer king.Through combing Mencius’ moral cultivation thoughts,it is found that Mencius’ moral cultivation includes the daily use of human affairs and the administration of the world,which has a certain enlightening significance on our life value choice and the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
