Shanghai is not only an economically prosperous metropolis,but also an important literary city in the process of modern and contemporary literary history.Since the last century,writers in Shanghai have contributed one excellent work after another to the literary world.In the new century,under the combined effect of various factors,Shanghai writers in the new century have made persistent efforts to reform with determination,making Shanghai dialect regain its shine in the language art of novel creation.One excellent work after another has set off waves of upsurge of "Shanghainese novels".This thesis focuses on the unique use of Shanghai dialect in the novel works of Shanghai writers since the new century.It chooses three representative novels such as The Lane,The Chronicle of the East Coast and Blossoms,and subdivides the language art into the following six parts for detailed discussion.The first part is the introduction,which will be discussed in four sections.The first is a macroscopic overview of the development of literature in Shanghai and the tradition of "Shanghai Language into the Literature",a comprehensive grasp of the general situation of the creation of novels by Shanghai writers since the last century,and a key summary and sorting of the "Shanghai Language into the Literature" writing tradition.Secondly,it summarizes the current situation of the study on the language art of Shanghai writers’ works since the new century,and clarifies the current situation of the study on the language art of Shanghai writers’ works since the new century,so as to provide the necessary theoretical basis for this study.Thirdly,it expounds the significance of the research,from the theoretical and practical levels to clarify the significance of this research;Finally,the description of the research methods is given,and the research methods used in this study are detailed.The second part analyzes the generative context of Shanghai writers’ language art.Since the beginning of the new century,Shanghai writers have boldly introduced dialect elements into their novels,and carried on the reform and innovation of literary language through the use of Shanghai dialect.This chapter focuses on the generative background of this revolutionary practice in writing.It is divided into two sections to deeply analyze the generative context of the language art of Shanghai writers’ novel creation.The first section elaborates the way of the change of language consciousness in novel creation under the literary trend of "emancipating the mind" since the 1980 s.The second section further discusses the change of language consciousness in the three representative novel works,such as The Lane,The Chronicle of the East Coast and Blossoms,with more pertinence.The third part is the interpretation of the Shanghai flavor of the language art of Shanghai writers.Shanghai dialect has always been rooted in the city of Shanghai,deeply in the market,and since the new century,the novels of Shanghai writers are also filled with strong Shanghai flavor.This chapter goes deep into the text,and combines the original texts of The Lane,The Chronicle of the East Coast and Blossoms to extract four important keywords,namely "shape","taste","spirit" and "quality",which correspond to the cultural space,life interest,spiritual temperament and artistic style of Shanghai respectively contained in the novel between the lines.This thesis interprets the cultural charm and connotation of Shanghai dialect from multiple angles and levels.The fourth part discusses the exploration and innovation of Shanghai writers’ language art.From the perspective of the use of literary language,this chapter specifically combines the language content of the three novels,namely The Lane,The Chronicle of the East Coast and Blossoms.This thesis focuses on the exploration and innovation of the novel language in The Lane,The Chronicle of the East Coast and Blossoms,and discusses the unique experience formed by the use of dialect in the novels of Shanghai writers,from the four perspectives of displaying the characters’ psychological emotions,creating the literary scenery of the language,carrying the historical memory of the city,and highlighting the microscopic aesthetics of daily life.The fifth part is the influence and contribution of Shanghai writers’ language art.Since the new century,Shanghai writers in the novel creation of innovation for the transformation of language art practice,use the Shanghai dialect to literary creation,language art changes will absorb the Shanghai dialect as the literary language of literature,enriches the language form of literature,but also reduce the dialect differences and reading distance,the crack propagation of dilemma,Expanded the literary influence of Shanghai writers and their works;In their novels,Shanghai writers used dialect to describe the daily life of the city,which showed the folk standpoint.In addition,the transformation of Shanghai writers’ language art has further promoted the formation of "dialect literature" and made contributions to the development and perfection of literary style.The last part is
