| With the development of economic globalization,China and other countries have increased their communication in agricultural science, and committed to the introduction of foreign advanced agricultural research results and ideas, hoping to reach international standards to help China’s agricultural ecology become more healthy and pave way for its sustainable development. However,in this process, the level of translators is often uneven, lacking relevant professional background knowledge and language knowledge, thus unable to guarantee the quality of the translation. Therefore, translators should use multiple approaches and methods to obtain parallel texts in the process of translation, and based on in-depth analysis, get inspirations from both language and content levels,so as to improve the accuracy and standardization of Chinese translation of sociological texts.Based on the E/C translation of The Sociology of Food and Agriculture(second edition)written by Michael Carolan and under the guidance of Communicative Translation Theory, this paper will discuss how to use parallel texts to give full play to their illuminative reference function to solve the problems in sociology text translation, and to better make translation accurate and fluent according to the academic requirements to convey information in social texts. |
