This thesis mainly investigates the cross-cultural conflicts of European employees in Shenyang.Take the students of a Chinese language training institution in Shenyang as an example.Through questionnaire surveys and individual interviews,to know about the problems they encounter in actual work,study and life,and propose corresponding teaching settings and suggestions.The thesis is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and research significance of the thesis,clarifies the research methods and related theoretical basis of the thesis,and combs the existing theories and research status.The studies before indicate that current research pays less attention to the phenomena of cultural conflicts encountered by European employees.Based on this,the research direction and content of this thesis have been determined.That is,questionnaire surveys are adopted as the main method and interviews are used as supplementary methods.To investigate the phenomena of cross-cultural conflict of European employees.This part clarifies the survey object and content of the article,and has a certain grasp of the overall writing direction of the thesis.The second part summarizes the research content from the two aspects of the definition and causes of cross-cultural conflict.On this basis,a questionnaire for cross-cultural conflicts of European employees in Shenyang has been set up,and a brief introduction to the questionnaire and survey subjects is also been provided.In terms of the questionnaire,the source of the questionnaire,the sampling and recovery of the questionnaire were explained.In terms of survey subjects,briefly sorted out their basic information such as nationality,age,and Chinese proficiency,and analyzed their current cross-cultural adaptation.It is concluded that the current acculturation mode of the survey subjects is closer to the integration mode,and the acculturation stages are basically distributed in the three stages of frustration,recovery and adaptation.This part roughly introduces the characteristics of the subjects of survey and their current adaptation to Chinese culture.The third part is the results and analysis of survey,from the five aspects of verbal communication,non-verbal communication,social communication,interpersonal relations,and living habits and customs to investigate the phenomenon of cross-cultural conflicts among European employees,and analyze the causes of cultural conflicts.It is concluded that the main reasons for the question of cross-cultural conflicts of the subjects are the lack of knowledge of Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication,the differences in thinking styles and values between China and Europe,and the individual differences of the subjects.In general,this part basically clarifies the cross-cultural conflicts that the survey respondents face and their causes.The fourth part aims at the cross-cultural conflict phenomena of the subjects,and combines their learning needs,proposes the teaching settings to deal with the cross-cultural conflict phenomenon from the perspectives of classroom teaching and extracurricular activities,so as to improve the Chinese level of the subjects,increase cultural knowledge reserves.These teaching settings are: course settings that combine language practice ability and cultural knowledge,personalized cultural curriculum settings that "put what they like",immersive cultural practice activities,regional cultural outdoor activities,and post-work cultural summary activities.In this part,starting from the actual situation of the subjects,a series of teachings setting with certain application value are proposed.The fifth part is the feedback of the teaching setting proposed by the survey objects,and the teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers.From students’ feedback,it is concluded that the proposed teaching settings are indeed effective and have certain application value.At the same time,five suggestions are put forward: to pay close attention to the actual problems encountered by students;fully understand the individual learning needs of students;strengthen the cultural teaching of the students’ geographical background;use contextual advantages and focus on cultural experience;adopt a teaching method that pays attention to cultural differences.The sixth part is the conclusion,which briefly summarizes the research content and innovations of the thesis,and reflects on the deficiencies of the research.The innovations of this thesis can provide teachers with certain guidance and provide reference for follow-up research.The shortcomings of this thesis can also provide some improvement ideas for subsequent research.Through investigation and analysis,this article basically understands the phenomenon and causes of cross-cultural conflicts among European employees in Shenyang,and puts forward targeted suggestions based on their learning needs.
