Guiguzi lived in the Warring States Period,and his thoughts are concentrated in the lobbying practice of his book "Guiguzi" and his disciples Su Qin and Zhang Yi."Guiguzi" is the only theoretical work left by politicians.It records a summary of lobbying theory during the Warring States Period.It is a strategy used by strategists to lobby,persuade and control the monarch through a series of methods.From the perspective of communication,this article mainly adopts the literature analysis method,combining theory with lobbying cases,and analyzes Guiguzi’s lobbying thought from the theoretical basis of lobbying thought,lobbying subject and object,lobbying method,lobbying content and rhetoric.Through research,it is found that Guiguzi’s lobbying thought is mainly the product of the combination of "Tao","Skill","Human" and "Things".In terms of "Tao",Dao is Guiguzi’s worldview.Guiguzi’s lobbying thought takes Yin and Yang as the fundamental law,combined with a dialectical unified theory,and builds its own lobbying theory on this basis.In terms of lobbying subject and lobbying object,Gui Guzi believes that lobbyists should possess some basic qualities.The personal “cultivation” of persuaders and the cultivation of inner mental strength are vital to the meaning of persuasion.Lobbyists must realize the three aspects of persuasion.The unification of things requires foreseeing the law of the development of things and making contingency at the right time.Lobbyists must follow certain principles when engaging in persuasion activities.Lobbying objects have poor personalities,and they must lobby according to the characteristics of the other party.In terms of lobbying methods,lobbying methods are an interconnected and integrated system.Before lobbying,lobbyists should weigh the lobbying objects,understand the hobbies and anger of lobbying objects,and choose suitable lobbying objects.When carrying out lobbying activities,comprehensive use of lobbying methods,using the words of hooks and pliers to match what they like,try to figure out the other side,retreat as progress,repeatedly explore the other side’s psychology,and use methods such as storytelling,analogy,and metaphor.Reasoning vividly.In terms of lobbying content and lobbying rhetoric,lobbying content is divided into two categories: "yin" and "yang".Lobbying must be targeted,and different lobbying objects should be treated with different lobbying content.Guiguzi recognizes the power of words,and lobbyists must use words appropriately.Guiguzi’s lobbying theory is still valuable today,and can be used in today’s persuasion and communication activities,public relations,diplomacy,and negotiation.
