Study On Guiguzi

Guiguzi is a book of lobbying and strategy by political strategists from the pre-Qin. Frist, this thesis introduces the structure of guiguzi. Second, discusses the system and practical applications of vertical and horizontal theory.Tird, analyses the relationship between guiguzi and the other systems of thought in pre-Qin. Finally, summarize the literature value of guiguzi. The thesis is divided into three parts in structure:The first part mainly discusses the structure and the system of guiguzi. The existing guiguzi has twelve articles in the frist and middle volume. The last volume includes Benjingyinfuqishu,Chishu and Zhong jing. According to correlation of the content and structure,it can be divided into three sections. The first section contains eleven articles from Baihe to Jue, which is a complete theory system of vertical and horizontal. The theory system of vertical and horizontal is based on the yin-yang theory of Taoist which considers that everything in the universe is produced by yin-yang and is constantly changing. In addition,this part also gives an example to illustrate the practical application of the vertical and horizontal theory.The second part is mainly about the relationship between guiguzi and the other systems of thought in pre-Qin. The thought of Guiguzi is profound, in addition to the absorption of yin-yang theory as its theoretical foundation, also contains Confucianism,Taoism, Legalism and military thought. This part mainly analyzes the similarities and differences between guiguzi and the other systems of thought in pre-Qin.The third part is mainly aboat the literariness and criticism of guiguzi. This part considers that the literariness of guiguzi mainly reflects in two sides: the characteristics of mature argumentation writings and the original concept of article. The characteristics of mature argumentation writings include rigorous logical structure, colorful way of demonstration, rich syntactic and semantic structure. It is believed that conjecture mood and decorate words into the article. This point of view is the same as that literature from the real life and literature is the art of the language. In addition, guiguzi as a lobbying book, which increased or modified words to be appropriate in order to better convince each other, embodies the views of exquisite diction and utility.
