A Study About The Influence Of Zhu Yuanzhang’s Political Personality On His Governing Officials With Severe Punishments And Laws

As one of major topics of modern political science,political personality belongs to the category of political psychology.Harold Lasswell,as the founder of political psychology,emphasized that the study of political science can not be separated from the study of people and political personality has a major influence on the political choice and behavior tendency of the subject.Mostly,research on political personality theory are case studies of leaders or heroes who have an important impact on social development.Based on this research path,taking Zhu Yuanzhang,the most legendary feudal emperor in the history of our country as research subject,through tracing Zhu Yuanzhang’s personal experience and growth history,this paper analyzes the formation mechanism of political personality.From the perspective of structural theory,this paper carries out a comprehensive analysis of Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality to explore the influence of his political personality on the policy that severe administration of officials in the early Ming Dynasty.Carl Jung’ theoretical analysis of personality structure is adopted to divide Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality into two separate and interacting systems of consciousness and unconsciousness.Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality is analyzed from four dimensions,including the Political Cognition of Using Heavy Punishment in Troubled Times,the political sentiment of times of peace and prosperity,the political thinking of Thinking of danger in times of peace and The political motive of to keep oneself safe forever.Its unconscious level focuses on the collective unconscious with deep-rooted influence,including two aspects of Political consciousness of imperial power and traditional peasant consciousness.Thus,Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality is comprehensively summarized and explained.On this basis,this paper further analyzes the authoritarianism of ZhuYuanzhang’s political personality,the contradiction complexity of the coexistence of inferiority and conceit,and the selfish utilitarian characteristics of interest orientation.Furthermore,from four perspectives of traditional political culture,the irritable temperament,realistic social environment as well as great changes in social roles,the psychological psychodynamic and external influence factors that forms Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality are analyzed,which is of great significance to deeply understand Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality.Finally,the focus of this paper lies in the exploration of Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality on Severe Administration of Officials.It explains its value selection and behavioral motivation that formed at the consciousness level of Zhu Yuanzhang’s political personality.Meanwhile,the unconscious level lays the foundation of its value basis and underlying logic.Through the case study of Zhu Yuanzhang,it is further demonstrated that political personality has a major influence on the political behavior and roles of political subjects in political life.
