Classroom observation activities are the most common teaching and research activities for in-service teachers in schools,and they are also an important channel for cooperation and learning among teachers.Observation in the classroom can not only help improve teachers’ education and teaching ability,but also help improve teachers’ research ability and professional level as a method of classroom research.However,due to the lack of theoretical guidance and professional training in the classroom observation and evaluation activities of in-service English teachers of high school,coupled with the unity of the school’s organization of classroom observation activities,classroom observation has problems in promoting the implementation of teachers’ professional ability.Therefore,this paper studies the current situation of teachers’ classroom observation activities,summarizes the problems in implementation and analyzes the causes of the problems,proposes improvement strategies based on the Observation penetration Theory,provides reference for teacher training and schools’ implementation of classroom observation activities,and provides lessons for English teachers.Provide guidance for professional and effective classroom observation activities.The main content of this research includes the following aspects:1.The current status of classroom observation activities carried out by schools;2.The status quo of teachers’ classroom observation theory grasps;3.The status quo of teachers’ classroom observation activities.Through the above research,the author has a certain understanding of the current situation of classroom observation of high school English teachers,and draws the following conclusions: the teachers’ classroom observation is not perfect,the resources provided are limited,the amount of tasks arranged is unreasonable,and class evaluation activities issues such as formalization;teachers’ classroom observation activities lack professional classroom observation theory,lack of understanding of the importance of classroom observation,lack of dimensions and perspectives of observation,and lack of professional theoretical guidance and training.In view of the above problems,the author puts forward the following suggestions from three angles: teachers should set up correct classroom observation,attach importance to classroom observation activities,learn and master classroom observation theory through various channels,to attach importance to cooperation with colleagues in classroom observation with a view to obtaining more professional and comprehensive observation information,so as to enhance their professional competence more effectively;schools should strengthen the system construction of classroom observation activities,attaching importance to the training of teachers’ theories and skills,arranging reasonable amount of tasks,strictly implementing the development of classroom observation activities by making use of the system,and widening the channels for teachers’ classroom observation,for the professional development of teachers to provide a higher platform and wider channels.Teacher training should increase the training of teachers’ classroom observation ability.This study is beneficial to arouse teachers’ attention to classroom observation theory,improve the quality of classroom observation activities of English teachers in senior middle schools in Shaanxi Province,and improve teachers’ teaching ability through multiple channels and broad fields,it can promote the professional development of teachers.
