A Report On The Translation Of Sci-Tech Texts From The Perspective Of Eco-Translatology

Science and technology are the primary productive forces.Since the 21st century,China has gradually come to the center of the world stage.But there is still a considerable gap between China and western developed countries in science and technology.In order to keep up with the trend and obtain the latest information,the scientific and technological translation is urgent.Based on Darwin’s evolution theory of adaptation and selection,eco-translatology is a comprehensive and integrated translation study from an ecological perspective.It pays attention to the "relevance and interaction"under multi-disciplinary researches of translatology,linguistics,culturology,anthropology and ecology.Being the extension and transformation of the theoretical research of contemporary translatology,it has a solid philosophical foundation and a broad prospect.Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to study sci-tech translation from the perspective of eco-translatology.Taking the characteristics of sci-tech texts in language,culture and communication as breakthrough points,the author reviews the achievements of sci-tech translation and eco-translatology as well as the existing problems at the present stage.After a systematic review of the theoretical framework of eco-translatology,the author,under the guidance of the three-dimensional translation methods,makes a detailed analysis and interpretation of the typical cases encountered in her practice from linguistic transformation,cultural transformation and communicative transformation,and tries to put forward corresponding translation skills and strategiesIn the process of research,the author has the following findings:1.Compared with the transformation in linguistic dimension,the transformations in cultural and communicative dimension of sci-tech translation are not that easy to get;2.Eco-translatology focuses on not only adaptation and selection,but also the dynamic balance among various elements in the ecological environment and the aesthetics reflected in the whole eco-environment;3.Compared with other translation theories,eco-translatology pays more attention to the role of the translator in the process of the translation.Therefore,in view of the above findings,the author makes a detailed discussion in the report so as to bring some references to translators.
