Vocabulary Research Of Xianyou Dialect In Putian City,Fujian Province

Xianyou is located in the central coastal area of Fujian.It belongs to the Puxian dialect of Min dialect in the subregion.The vocabulary research of Xianyou dialect in the academic circles is mostly discussed together in the system of Puxian dialect.The lack of independent and systematic in-depth study is easy to cover up.Its vocabulary features.This article conducts a comprehensive survey of the vocabulary of Xianyou dialect,uses the relevant theories of cognitive mythology to make an in-depth analysis of the word formation and word-making motivation of Xianyou dialect,and forms the morphological structure with the vocabulary of Mandarin Compared with the synchronism in the semantic category,it also makes a more systematic inquiry into the origin of Xianyou dialect vocabulary.It is hoped that while revealing the vocabulary of Xianyou dialect vocabulary,it will provide more research for the Puxian dialect and the entire Min dialect.Favorable dialect facts and supplements.The article is divided into five parts:Chapter One,Introduction.This chapter provides an overview of Xianyou County in terms of geographical location,historical evolution,and dialect divisions.It also elaborates on the research status of predecessors on Xianyou dialects and the purpose,methods,and sources of materials in this article.The phonological tone system is introduced.The second chapter is about the word formation of Xianyou dialect.This chapter discusses the word formation of Xianyou dialect from two aspects: simple words and compound words.In the process of analyzing single syllable simple words in Xianyou dialect,we extracted its basic level category words and carried out with the basic category words of Mandarin Comparative analysis of vocabulary structure and semantic categories;and the analysis of its compound words mainly discusses compound word formation and additional word formation,and also expands the form and content of compound words with Mandarin Chinese Compared.The third chapter is the motivation of Xianyou dialect word formation.This chapter uses the relevant theories of cognitive linguistics to explore the "reasons for naming the name" of Xianyou dialect vocabulary from two aspects: explicit and implicit motivations.The former is mainly based on onomatopoeic motives and attribute motives,while the latter discusses its metaphorical motives,metonymic motives,and cultural motives,and strives to fill the gaps in the research of Xianyou dialect’s wordmaking motives.The fourth chapter is the etymology of Xianyou dialect vocabulary.This chapter discusses the composition of Xianyou dialect vocabulary from a diachronic perspective,mainly including a large number of ancient Tongyu words brought by the people of Zhongzhou in history,the ancient Wu language words that moved from the south of the Central Plains clan with obvious Wu characters,and The bottom words preserved through the integration and exchange,and the foreign words under the influence of overseas business and trade and the history of "Xia Nanyang" in southern Fujian.Chapter V,conclusion.This chapter mainly elaborates the knowledge and gains after analyzing the vocabulary of Xianyou dialect,and briefly describes the innovation and shortcomings of this article.
