Research On Innovation Of Original Comic Industry In China

With the development of the Internet and Mobile Internet,Comics have become the mainstream form of social cultural entertainment consumption.Domestic original comics,animation,games,film and television,literature,derivatives,etc.have jointly formed a perfect industrial development system,and the original comic industry has become a new growth point in the development of China’s cultural industry.However,academic research shows the obvious feature of "emphasizing animation over comics",lacking the attention to native original comics and the theoretical support in content creation,product development,marketing and many other aspects.More over,the originality and innovation mechanism of comic industry are not revealed.As an important foundation for the cultural industry,China’s original comics are in urgent need of academic attention.Based on the "Sectoral System Innovation Theory" put forward by Francot Mallba,this paper analyzes the innovation elements of China’s original comic industry from three aspects: knowledge and technology,agents and networks,and institutions.On this basis,it constructs an innovation system model of the original comics industry,then analyzes the internal function and innovation mechanism of the industrial innovation system.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which analyzes the realistic background of the original comic industry innovation in China,as well as the achievements and shortcomings of the existing related research on comics industry.It clearly shows the necessity of introducing Franco Malerba’s theory.The second chapter combs the development of China’s original comics and the process of industrialization,making a preliminary analysis of the performance of industrial innovation.The third chapter uses the theoretical analysis framework of "Sectoral System Innovation Theory" to specifically analyze the knowledge base,common technologies,key agents,institutions and other innovation elements,which affect the innovation of China’s original comics industry,and summarizes the different types of innovation networks formed by key agents.The fourth chapter constructs the innovation system of original comic industry based on the agents’ network,including technology innovation system,cultural creativity system,market innovation system and institutional innovation system,and analyzes the generation principle and internal components of each innovation subsystem.The fifth chapter inspects the interaction relation and function types of each innovation subsystem,clarifies the function mechanism of innovation elements in the system,and pointed out that through the guidance,promotion,feedback and guarantee among various innovation subsystems,an industrial collaborative innovation mechanism is formed.The sixth chapter summarizes and reflects on the research in this paper,and looks forward to the future research.
