| In 2014,the Ministry of Education made explicit reference to the important concept of discipline key competencies in The Opinion on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculium Reform, and regarded it as a key aspect in the reform, focusing on cultivating students’ discipline key competencies. The key competencies of English subject are mainly composed of two parts: one is essential character, including culture and thinking quality;the other is key ability, including language and learning ability. The traditional teaching models cannot effectively cultivate students’ key competencies.Educators and front-line teachers have explored some new teaching models. As one of them, the guided learning teaching model can fully exert the students’ main role and arouse their enthusiasm for learning.A lot of researches on the guided learning teaching model have been done in the educational fields, but there are few related studies that integrate the concept of subject key competencies into it.On the basis of human-oriented theory and cooperative learning, this study is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the design and use of the guided learning plan of "four-in-one teaching practice and evaluation" in M middle school of H city by means of questionnaires and interviews. Finally, based on the main connotation of the key competencies of English subject, some suggestions for improvement will be put forward to provide some reference for English teaching in junior middle school. The research results show that there is a lack of training of the composers, cultural background knowledge in English-speaking countries and innovation;the contents of the guided learning plan of the M school in H city are uneven;students can not really participate in the classroom activities and teachers cannot get timely and effective feedback and so on.In view of the above problems, the author puts forward the following suggestions: setting up a teaching and research team of teachers to cooperate in the development of the guided learning plan;scientifically compiling the guided learning plan to permeate the key competencies of the subject;teachers and students working together to build a new ecological wisdom classroom;turning to colleges and universities to establish a theoretical guidance feedback system. |
