| According to English Curricular Standards in the phase of compulsory education,junior high school students should be able to form comprehensive language application abilities through the process of learning.English writing is one of the essential skills for junior high school students.And it is extremely important.However,Due to students lack of interest in English writing,systematic writing instructions from teachers and effective writing exercises,current cultivation of students’ writing abilities is unsatisfying.With the higher requirements of senior high school enrollment test,the improvement of students’ writing abilities is extremely urgent.Under the guidance of schema theory,constructivism learning theory,visualization theory and theories related to English writing teaching,the author tries to carry out a research of junior English mind-mapping-based writing teaching method,which is to discuss the following questions: Can mind mapping improve the attitudes of students towards writing? Is the mind–mapping-based writing teaching method effective to enhance students’ writing abilities?This article adopts literature review,questionnaire survey and experimental research to verify the experimental hypothesis.After 14-week writing teaching practice based on mind mapping,according to the analysis of questionnaire survey and changes of students’ writing before and after the experiment,the author has reached the following conclusions.The application of mind mapping to English writing can arouse students’ interest and confidence in writing.The mind-mappingbased English writing teaching method can improve the writing abilities of students,especially for the intermediate-level students.With the help of mind mapping,it can facilitate students to open their mind,to substantiate the content,to properly organize the essay and enrich the vocabulary.Thus,the mind-mapping-based writing teaching model makes a positive effect on students’ writing abilities. |
