| This paper holds that Jiang Zilong’s reform novels have experienced a period from naivete to maturity, and its reform narrative has internal adjustment and progress,as well as inevitable limitations.Progressiveness is reflected in Jiang Zilong’s continuous adjustment of his self-creation in the reform narrative. The focus of the narrative shifts from "reform" to "human",and he pays more and more attention to the privatized individual in the reform; The limitation lies in the inherent relationship between the spiritual core of Jiang Zilong’s creation and the literature of the "Cultural Revolution",which leads to the crisis of values in the reform literature. In describing the reform,Jiang Zilong keeps on seeking new and changing, which makes the "reform" have rich connotation and extension, but the limitation of the spiritual core restricts the exertion of his creative ability, and also causes the distortion of the universal values of the Reform Literature. This paper contains six parts. The preface gives a general description of Jiang Zilong’s reform narrative, pointing out its connection with the reform narrative of the1980 s.The first chapter discusses Jiang Zilong’s early important work "A Day of an Electromechanical Director",which describes the "reform" in a double way,and the reformer’s image, character and management mode are initially formed,so it has "origin" significance.Chapter two reinterprets the "reform" narrative of the classic text "The Incumbent of Factory Director Qiao".and believes that it reforms the story and shapes the reformer with a dualistic model, there are some problems in values such as hero worship and power imbalance, which are related to the internal logic of "Literature of Cultural Revolution".In the third chapter, according to the change of reformer’s status from old cadres to young people, the function of women in the reform,Jiang Zilong’s emphasis on the physical and mental health of young people, which shows that the progress of reform values begins to focus on privatized individuals.Chapter four points out that Jiang Zilong returned to the familiar creative path after the reform narrative position turned to the countryside. The reformer’s selfish desires began to expand, power could not be effectively restricted, and theproblems caused by the reform began to gradually emerge. The conclusion part shows that from writing nearly perfect reform heroes to privatized individuals with colorful personalities is the progress of Jiang Zilong’s reform narrative, while the defects of values such as idol worship and personal power are the common pain points of Jiang Zilong and his contemporary reform writers. |
