Under the guidance of his thoughts and prose theories,Su Shi’s 60 travel notes cover the aspects of Confucianism,salvation of Buddhism and Taoism,sightseeing,exploration and practice,and thinking fondly of his old friends.They have artistic characteristics in style,structure,expression,language and style.His travel notes are deeply influenced by the ancient prose movement of Tang and Song dynasties.While inheriting Liu Zongyuan’s travel notes,his travel notes presents a different appearance in the history of Chinese landscape literature.His literary creation concept of the natural unity and coherence in writing has a profound influence on the development of Landscape Essays in Ming and Qing Dynasties.The introduction part of the article briefly reviews the development process of Chinese ancient landscape literature before sushi and the academic research of Sushi’s prose,especially his travels.The first chapter focuses on the political perspective of the superior salary,vacation and tenure of local officials;A prosperous social and economic perspective;On the cultural angle of deepening the consciousness of mountains and rivers in the development of landscape painting and garden construction;Starting from social intercourse and other aspects;An analysis of the political,economic,social and historical background of the prosperity and development of travel notes in the Northern Song Dynasty.The second chapter discusses Sushi’s thought of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism and his prose theory based on his life experience of relegation.The third chapter chronicles the creation of Sushi’s travels and grasps his creation stage;According to the style,it can be divided into four categories: Fu,Ji,Ming and Note;According to the landscape,it can be divided into four categories: mountain forest,lake and sea,pavilions,and Buddhist temples.The fourth chapter bases on studying the text of travel notes,the author explains the five ideological emotions in Sushi’s travel notes,which are Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,landscape,practice and nostalgia for old friends.Among them,the Confucian way of helping the world is explained through his ideal,practice and understanding.During his relegation to Huangzhou,he realized the salvation of Buddhism and Taoism in Anguo temple,Chibi and Xuetang.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the artistic characteristics of Sushi’s travel notes.The general characteristics of Sushi’s travel notes are the natural unity and coherence in writing,which are mainly reflected by style innovation,structural arrangement,expression,language and style.His travel notes are of various styles,Ji prose,Wen Fu,Ming and Note writing are all used in his creation.The structure arrangement is flexible and varied,the expression methods are various,the language is concise,natural and interesting,the style is magnificent and unrestrained,simple and natural.The sixth chapter discusses the status and influence of Sushi’s travel notes.Su shi’s travel notes changed from landscape writing to argumentation,which opened up a new paradigm of Chinese travel notes and was an important achievement of the ancient prose movement in tang and song dynasties.At the same time,the creation concept of the natural unity and coherence in writing promoted the development of Ming and Qing landscape literature towards "true spirit" and essay style.
