The Research And Analysis Of The Patterns In Traditional Bogu Weaving Carpets

As an important subject of traditional Chinese decorative art patterns,Bogu grain appears on various carriers such as porcelain,painting and architecture.In this sense,it has a variety of ways to manifest itself.Moreover,it varies from different ages and plays an extremely important role in the decorative art system of woven carpets.However,it can be seen that most of the researches on the role of Bogu grain playing in the woven blanket are fragmented and mostly based on regional records or simply on patterns but without the systematic or comprehensive investigation behind.The paper explores the pattern on Weaving carpets uncovered in several districts,including hetian,xinjiang,yulin,shaanxi and alashan(Inner Mongolia),to perform a relatively comprehensive and objective study.By exploring and sorting the patterns of traditional embroidery patterns,this paper analyzes and summarizes the features of traditional embroidery patterns on the handicrafts after referring to the previous literature,performing field researches and conducting comparative study.From the perspective of basic research of arts and crafts,the patterns on the traditional Bogu grain weaving carpets in the three regions are summarized and sorted out and then the design patterns,weaving rules and decorative characteristics are further studied.Further discussion on the development of traditional patterns of Bogu grain weaving carpets and the cultural genes behind the subjective patterns in different regions in the "integrated diversity" context is of practical significance to design and research,and hereafter a clear point of view would be put forward.The whole thesis is divided into five chapters to describe the traditional Bogu grain weaving carpets--the first chapter is a general introduction about the research background and significance,domestic and overseas development and research methods of such researches and meanwhile the paper’s innovation and shortcomings are presented;the second chapter discusses the birth and development of bogu grain and the weaving carpets from the perspective of unearthed cultural relics and ancient books;the third chapter summarizes and compiles the patterns of traditional Bogu grain weaving carpets and explores their symbolic meaning;the fourth chapter focuses on the organization,composition and color application of the patterns of traditional Bogu grain weaving carpets;the fifth chapter summarizes the current situation of regional development and the expansion of application form based on the research data.From the above research,the conclusion is drawn: over the previous period,the traditional patterns of Bogu grain weaving carpets has developed into regional decorative art after blending with ornamentation.The patterns of traditional Bogu grain weaving carpets are the carrier of excellent traditional Chinese cultural concepts and spirit.The unique art characters and the fundamental trend of decorative style reflect the cultural folk customs and aesthetic ideal trend of diverse regions of China under the influence of traditional Chinese culture.
