Ruan Yuan’s(阮元)Notes on the Thirteen Classics(十三经注疏)and Lu Deming’s(陆德明)Jingdian Shiwen(经典释文)are both important ancient books, they have been studied by many scholars.Since the Song Dynasty, when people print the Notes on the Thirteen Classics(十三经注疏),many notes and commentariesin thisliterature will transfer Lu Deming’s(陆德明)Jingdian Shiwen(经典释文)about the phonetic notation.Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)also has phonetic notation, but whether its phonetic notations are the phonetic notation of Jingdian Shiwen(经典释文)or not, scholars are easily confused and think that the phonetic notations of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)are the same as those of Jingdian Shiwen’s(经典释文)Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义)when they are not familiar with the text of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)and the text of Jingdian Shiwen’s(经典释文)Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义).The annotated version of Erya(尔雅),which has been handed down from generation to generation,is called Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释).About Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释),Feng Zheng wrote The Similarities and Differences between Erya Yintu(尔雅音图)and Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释)Phonetic Annotation, and Huang Yuhu wrote The Source of Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释)Phonetic Notation.Feng Zheng’s article proves that Erya Yintu(尔雅音图)is the main source of Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释),and Huang Yuhu’s article proves that Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释)is the concise edition of Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义).The comparison of Feng Zheng’s article does not involve Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义),while Huang Yuhu’s article only reveals the similarities between Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释)and Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义),but does not summarize the differences and specific expressions between Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义)and Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释).The author believes that it is necessary to carefully analyze the similaritiesand differences between phonetic notation Erya(尔雅)in Notes on the Thirteen Classics(十三经注疏)(known as Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释)in Feng Zheng’s article and Huang Yuhu’s article)and Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义),and to reveal the source of Erya Yinshi(尔雅音释).This paper is divided into two parts:the comparison of the phonetic notation in Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)and Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义)and the analysis of the source of the the phonetic notation in Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏).The first part includes seven aspects:first, the scope of phonetic notation and the object of phonetic notation have different aspects;Second, different sound terms;Third, the way of phonetic notation is different;Fourth,The phonetic characters are different;Fifth, theaffix of Fanqie(反切)is different;Sixth, whether there is interpretation after the phonetic notation is different;Seventh, understand the phonetic notation of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)from the information of the Notes on the Thirteen Classics’(十三经注疏)edition.Through data analysis, the author knows that the phonetic notations of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)are not the same as the phonetic notations of Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义).The latter part includes four aspects:first, theanalysis of the phonetic notation in Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)originated from the Jingdian shiwen’s(经典释文)Erya Yinyi(尔雅音义);Second, theanalysis of the phonetic notation in Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)originated from the Erya Yintu(尔雅音图);Third, theanalysis of the phonetic notation in Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏)originated from the Zhengqiao’s(郑樵)Erya Zhu(尔雅注);Fourth,a comprehensive analysis of three phonetic sources of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注).This part of the content is through the analysis of ancient books to find the origin of the phonetic notation of Erya Zhushu(尔雅注疏),which is speculated to be recorded from the Jingdian Shiwen(经典释文),Erya Yintu(尔雅音图)and Zhengqiao’s Erya Zhushu(尔雅注).
