Research On The Emotional Language Of Levitan Landscape Painting

Levitan is recognized as a master of realistic landscape painting,and he pushed the art of Russian landscape painting to a higher level of aesthetics.Levitan’s landscape paintings are profound and real.His works are skillful in pen,they are in comprehensive language,and full of emotions,which is the unique style of his own for the landscape oil paintings.The research on Levitan landscape paintings has a very important practical and theoretical value,and also it promotes the development of the realistic painting styles.In order to overcome the shortcomings of previous research on Levitan landscape paintings,which focused on theoretical research only,more practical discussion will be involved in this research,based on the experience of the author.This paper is organized as followed: In the beginning,the evolution of Levitan’s art philosophy and his desired artistic style are researched under his historical context.Secondly,the contribution of Levitan’s landscape painting for the painting practice of my own is discussed,specifically over the painting principal and language.Finally,I will express,along with the inspiration of Levitan’s landscape paintings,the way of selecting the topic,the process of painting and the feeling of my own.Through the research of Levitan landscape painting,the artistic characteristics of Levitan landscape painting are obtained,and hereby it inspired me in the painting practice.Landscape painting is one of the research field interested many people including me myself.The Study of Levitan landscape painting is of great significance for the expression of the painting language,and it makes a valuable contribution in my experience for the realization of painting concept.
