A Study Of Shishanzi Culture

Shishanzi culture,named after Shishanzi site,is a Neolithic archaeological culture distributed in the middle reaches of the Huaihe River.Due to the relatively late start of archaeological excavation in the Huaihe River Basin,and the fact that the Huaihe River Basin is located at the intersection of various cultures,the cultural landscape is complex,so to a certain extent,it has increased the difficulty for the related research of Shishanzi culture.This paper analyzes the typical sites,stages and ages,types and origins of Shishanzi culture,the relationship with the archaeological culture of the same period in the surrounding areas,and the socio-economic and spiritual life in the period of Shishanzi culture.I hope to promote the study of Shishanzi culture as a whole,and further clarify the cultural development sequence of the Neolithic Age in the Huaihe River Basin.First of all,sort out the relevant site materials of Anhui and Henan areas that have published the excavation briefing(report)in Shishanzi culture,and have a overall grasp of the general situation of each site of Shishanzi culture.In order to further clarify the connotation of Shishanzi culture,this paper analyzes the attribution of Shuangdun culture and Houjiazhai culture.Secondly,by using the methods of stratigraphy and typology,the typical artifacts unearthed in the related sites of Shishanzi culture are classified and fixed,and each site is divided into stages.According to the results of the stages of each site,at the same time,we select common utensils from several sites,such as Shishanzi site,houjiazhai site,Shuangdun site and Wuzhuang site,which have a large number of unearthed utensils and obvious cultural characteristics,and observe the evolution of utensils as a whole.Therefore,we can divide Shishanzi culture into three stages.Combined with the dating data of each site,we can get the approximate age of each period of Shishanzi culture.Thirdly,it discusses the types and origins of Shishanzi culture.Due to the great differences in cultural features between different strata of the same site,Shishanzi culture is divided into two types:Shishanzi culture and houjiazhai culture.Shishanzi I and II belong to the type of Shishanzi,while Shishanzi III belongs to the type of houjiazhai.The two types belong to the same Shishanzi culture,the difference of the two types is mainly due to the difference of time.At the same time,according to the existing excavation materials,combined with the comparison of the characteristics of the artifacts and the analysis of thenatural environment,it is concluded that the source of Shishanzi culture is shunshanji culture,not xiaoshankou and ancient Taisi sites;the destination of Shishanzi culture is weichi Temple type of Dawenkou Culture,which forms the cultural development sequence of the Neolithic Age in Northern Anhui.In addition,by using the method of cultural factor analysis,this paper makes a comparative study on the cultural characteristics of Shishanzi culture and archaeological culture of the same period in neighboring areas,and reveals the emergence and development of Shishanzi culture of Peiligang culture and Yangshao culture in the Yellow River Basin,Houli culture and Beixin culture in Haidai area,qingliangang culture in the Huaihe River Basin Communication and influence during the exhibition.Finally,from the analysis of the ruins and relics related to Shishanzi culture,we can understand the socio-economic and spiritual life of Shishanzi culture.The study of Shishanzi culture is not only of great significance to the detailed discussion of the stages,cultural connotations and characteristics of all kinds of cultural relics of the Neolithic Age in the Huaihe River Basin,but also has a profound impact on the in-depth study of many issues such as the chronological inference,genealogical arrangement and the relationship between the whole "Huaihe culture".
