| The thesis aims to investigate some historical geography issues in the Nanhe River Basin during the Han and Tang Dynasties with transmitted documents and excavated manuscripts,on the basis of previous research. The first chapter of the article sorts out the hydrological conditions of the rivers in the Nanhe River Basin contained in the literature of the Han and Tang Dynasties, and finds that the hydrological conditions of the rivers are basically the same. The records of river hydrology have a trend of being precise and detailed.Discussions on Fan River,Zhu River and Fen River, combined with newly excavated manuscripts and several Lei shu,re-examined three rivers and the locations of city which is only recorded in the Shuijingzhu, expecting to obtaining a more accurate water channel in the Nan River Understanding. The second chapter focuses on the characteristics of administrative division in the Nanhe River Basin.Firstly, based on Fang County and Gucheng County, the paper reviews the organizational evolution and geographical prospects of the county-level administrative division in the Nanhe River Basin.Secondly, the essence and form of the boundaries of the political districts in the river basin were discussed, and it was found that the borders of the political districts mostly coincided with the watershed, and the borders have a trend to be clear. In upstream and downstream basin, there are two political districts with relatively stable governance, borders, and territories, and the two are roughly equivalent to the area of the South River Basin. Most of the time, the two political districts are unequal and belong to different high-level political districts. The third chapter of the thesis focuses on the transportation, population, customs and regional cognition in the Nanhe River basin. There are few transportation routes in the Southern River Basin between Han and Tang Dynasties, mostly extending along valleys and rivers, and the traffic is relatively blocked.Combining with the Fan River recorded by Lidaoyuan,it is believed that the Fan River may be the transportation route from the Southern River Basin to Sichuang. The growth trend of registered population in the Nanhe River Basin is different from that of the whole country. The river basin absorbs a large number of non-registered population. The number of registered populations recorded in transmitted documents can not reflect the population distribution in the river basin.During the Han and Tang Dynasties, the Nanhe River Basin retained a large number of Jingchu customs. After the Wei Jin Dynasties, the customs of the downstream basin were affected by the integration of North and South culture factors. There are many "valleys" in the Nanhe River Basin that refer to areas with different cultures or opposing to the government in transmitted documents, and it was rarely recorded that limits cognition of these areas. |
