| As a popular and prolific illustrator,Christophe Nieman’s works span commercial,art,publishing and other fields.So far,he has created 28 illustrations for The New Yorker Magazine,which proves that he is nowadays.Influence in the field of illustration.This article uses Christophe Nieman’s illustrations as the starting point to study and discuss the construction and expression of visual language in illustrations.After defining the definition of the visual language of the illustration,based on the framework of the visual language,combined with the background and characteristics of the visual language of Christopher’s illustrations,the visual language expression techniques and construction strategies of his works are analyzed.Further understanding the relationship between illustrations and visual language provides a clearer perspective on the direction of illustrators’ own development in the new era.It leads back to the exploration of the creators themselves,and the pursuit of non-popular styles or techniques has changed from being in the current popular style to creating a style by developing visual language. |
