Taking Hetian White jade as the material to shape or express is the transformation of nature.It is not only for human to show the ability of conquering.But more importantly,it is the dialogue between man and nature,reflecting the close connection between the spirit of Hetian White jade and human.In this paper,the aesthetic interest of "subtly utilizing nature" of Hetian white jade in the round is discussed in the relationship beside material properties,modeling and subject matter from the perspective of sculpture in plastic art,.In the first chapter,as two important and profound aesthetic value-orientations of Hetian white jade,"warm and glossy" and "hard but not harmful" are the directions of "modeling due to the material".The ingenious utilization of Hetian white jade on quality,shape and color is mainly divided into three categories: "choosing suitable material","finding the shape according to the dynamic","using the natural color of jade ingeniously".They are the ways of "modeling due to the material".The second chapter is about the influence of Hetian white jade as material carrier on "applying art based on material".First of all,the changes of line and surface which are due to the material properties of Hetian white jade are analyzed in the rhythm of linear features as well as the light perception of concave and convex surfaces.Then,exploring the relationship between the form and spirit of Chinese Hetian white jade in the round is based on three situations.Afterwards,the humanistic care and spiritual appeal are discussed in the expression of pluralistic ideas.In the end,the third chapter focuses on the thoughts and gains in the process of personal creation.It is the reflection of "applying art based on material" in practice.
