| For English teaching in junior high schools,the overall objective is to comprehensively develop and improve students’ language skills,with speaking skill being the core.This thesis has synthesized theoretical literature and empirical research into the information-based English teaching design of junior high schools by means of literature analysis,questionnaires,experiments and interviews.After consulting the domestic and foreign application of information technology in English teaching,based on ADDIE model,the author took in psychological and education-related theories including constructivism,dominant-the main,and input-output in order to construct a teaching procedures and strategies with the modern information technology as the medium,teachers as the dominance and the students being the subjects.According to the design above,the author investigated into the status quo through surveying and interviewing the students and teachers of Class three(the control group)and Class four(the experiment group)of the Eighth grade in a Middle School in Henan Province.Two units from their textbook were selected to facilitate application of ADDIE model in information-based oral English teaching,while specific examples are to explain the combination of these two methods.As the concluding part of the study,the author evaluated the questionnaire results,the test scores and the interview transcripts to validate the effectiveness of ADDIE model information-based design in Junior oral English teaching.The experiment results show that the information-based English oral teaching design generated from ADDIE model can improve the confidence and interest of junior high school students when speaking English,and greatly enhance their willingness for communication.The information-based teaching auxiliary equipment facilitates students’ understanding and memorizing of vocabularies and sentences.Meanwhile,information-based oral English teaching serves as great support of the interaction between teachers and students,so that the teachers will know more about the progress and adjust the design while the students have better opportunities to help and share experience with each other. |
