In the history development of museums,Design Museums are still belong to a younger category among all the different types of museums.However,the Design Museums had already attracted widespread attention from design academia and design industry in such a short time.As far as the existing research fields of Design Museums,the research of its definition,architecture,collections,exhibitions and the maintenance of public relations have gradually formed its unique studies.In contrast,the discussion of museums’ audience and how to develop their audience are very scarce.What’s more,there is a big distinction of audience research history between Eastern museums and Western’s.The earliest research on museum audience originated from the Western World.In addition,the number of Design Museums in Asia is not too much and related research are even more rare.This article attempts to discuss the reality strategy of Design Museums for "Audience Develop" by taking the long-term display of the China International Design Museum as an example through the research ways of case analysis and empirical research.It is finally concluded that the Design Museum should seek common development with their audience,and I do look forward to bring up new concept and new angle of thinking towards "Audience Develop" in Design Museums and Design Exhibitions.
