Foraging:Multi-dimension Narration Design Of Concept Book

The ocean is closely related to human life,but at present people are already facing ocean problems such as ocean pollution,over-fishing,and seawater acidification.There is a huge demand for marine resources.Since the 1970s,over-fishing has made it difficult for many places to get great gain in fishing season.Some marine life even facing the status of extinction.As China is a country with great sea areas,but the people are relatively lacking marine education.Through some research,nowadays China is lacking a systematic marine education curriculum,and the content of marine science popularization is relatively boring.The existing marine protection propaganda is not effective enough,so that the current public awareness of environmental protection is still weak,which will have negative impact on global sustainable development.In order to enhance the public’s cognition of the severe current situation and improve the communication effectiveness of"science popularization" books,the author made a classification study on the existing "science popularization" books and found that the problems are as follows:(1)the form is single;most of the books are still Mainly to describe the basic characteristics of marine life,the information still stays in the stage of understanding marine life,lacking guidance on environmental protection such as marine food chain and human-ocean relationship.(2)"Beautify"instead of"design";common science books lack "Overall Design Concept" Most of the science books still focus on the beautification of information,making it difficult to convey a sympathetic experience.Faced with the existing situation of popular science books,through comparative analysis and research on different book types,the author intends to try to use”Concept Book" as a carrier of new popular science on this program.The research will focus on 3 parts as follow:(1)Reconstruct the content of the book based on narrative theory;(2)Based on the book design concepts and basic theoretical research,form the image component classification research and artistic conception construction method in order to establish the principles of the design;(3)Based on the "Book Overall Design Theory",design the visual elements of book.This design focuses on using "Overall Design Theory" in order to broaden the narrative space of the book and create the beauty of the book’s artistic conception.This research will break the original form of marine education books,and provide theoretical and practical reference for subsequent book design.
