After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937,Japan established a large-scale colonial propaganda system in the occupied areas, attempting to spread the idea of enslavement in the occupied area through colonial propaganda by the mass media, and to wipe out the national consciousness and resistance spirit of the people in the occupied areas. However, due to the loss of journalist in the occupied area, the Japanese invaders faced a serious problem in the process of colonial journalism, and their development was once stalled. In order to cope with the shortage of journalist, the Japanese invaders decided to support enslaved journalism education, establishing a colonial propaganda team that was loyal to Japan through the method of self-sufficiency to assist the invasion.Among the series of journalism education institutions established by the Japanese invaders, the "China Journalism College" established in Beiping in1940 had the largest scale and the longest running time.A detailed inspection of this school’s schooling process can fully present the purpose, content, characteristics and effectiveness of journalism education during the Japanese invasion of China, and then effectively reveal the enslavement and colonial nature of journalism education during the Japanese invasion of China. This article takes the China Journalism College as the research object.Through combing and analyzing the relevant historical materials,it is found that the specific implementation of its enslaved journalism education mainly started from five aspects.First, meeting the basic needs of students;Second, vigorously promoting the study of Japanese and Japanese culture, placing Japanese teaching at the core position of the college curriculum, and carrying out various complicated Japanese learning activities to assist teaching,so that students become Japanese gradually.Third, indoctrinating the students with colonial thoughts as the theme of "anti-communism,anti-Europe and America",and encouraging students to regard all forces that hinder "building a new East Asian order" as their enemies;Fourth,To meet the urgent needs of journalists in wartime, the professional courses were mainly based on journalism practical courses, and were equipped with three months of off-campus internship to strengthen students’ journalism business ability. In terms of journalism theory, the colonial journalism theory under fascism was used to replace the original traditional journalism theory,to weaken the rational thinking of students;Fifth, strict behavioral discipline was imposed on the students, and a number of regulations were established to restrict the personal freedom of the students. In addition, after the students completed their studies, the college assigned them to the enslavement propaganda institutions to directly enrich their colonial propaganda power.Although the Japanese had beautified its purpose of enslavement education, the enslavement attributes of its enslaved journalism education had always run counter to the Chinese educational tradition of "inculcating culture and enlightening knowledge to train news professionals. It would inevitably lead to fierce resistance and firm resistance from Chinese students and the press from the occupied area.
