A Study On Lu You’s Disease Poems

Lu You has always been famous for his health and longevity,but at the same time he suffered from many diseases all his life and had rich experience of diseases.Lu You wrote many poems in his whole life,with a wide range of themes and contents.Among them,many diseases poems were created at the time of disease experience.Especially in his later years,Lu You mainly spent his free time at home.And his understanding,expression and writing of diseases were linked with the reality of personal diseases and worries and the country’s disasters and changes,which made Lu You’s illness poems diseases have a certain mature and profound late style.This article consists of five parts.The introduction part mainly combs the academic research status of disease poetry in ancient Chinese literature,and briefly introduces the history of disease writing in ancient Chinese literature before Lu You and the forming process of disease poetry.It also clarifies the feasibility and academic significance of comprehensive research of Lu You’s disease poems from several aspects,such as Lu You’s personal disease experience,the quantity and quality of his disease poems and the research status of Lu You’s disease poems.The first chapter divides the creation of Lu You’s disease poems into three periods by combining the specific creation of Lu You’s disease poems and the universal staging of Lu You’s poems.At the same time,the main creation modes of Lu You’s disease poetry are classified into four types: "the type of dark sinking","the type of clear wander","the type of serious thinking","the type of easy writing".The second chapter discusses the emotional experience of Lu You’s disease poems.Starting from Fang Hui’s "entertaining worries and expressing grievances",it analyzes the two emotional orientations of dark and light in disease poems,including the heroic strength of soldiers and the leisurely interest of hermits,which are the prominent features of Lu You’s disease poems.Starting from the two dimensions of Lu You’s health and diseases,the third chapter discusses the body writing of Lu You’s disease poems.By taking care of daily life such as clothing,food,travel,reading and observing the symptoms of the disease,Lu You showed the recurrent changes of the body between "light" and "heavy","bondage" and "liberation","disappearance" and "reappearance",thus completing the positive cognition and image writing of the disease.The forth chapter discusses the convalescence practice of Lu You’s disease poems.Apart from drug therapy and health care,the main analysis is Lu You’s self-psychological counseling,which includes the positive transformation of disease view,life and death view,poetics view,etc.to realize self-therapy.Furthermore,it analyzes Lu You’s political and military proposition of "goalless action" in his later years through Lu You’s metaphor of disease.In one word,disease is a important subject in Lu You’s poems,whose characteristics are trivial and monotonous,rich and colorful,lively and serious,full of sensibility and rationality.
