The Study Of Xiang Yang Literature In Song Dynasty

Xiangyang lies in an excellent geographical position where there is beautiful natural landscape,convenient water and land transportation,and a profound cultural background.This paper is aimed at investigating the development of Xiangyang literature in Song Dynasty and Xiangyang social landscape and regional cultural characteristics reflected in it.The main content of this paper is divided into three parts as following:Chapter I combed the rich historical heritage of Xiangyang literature,including:the Wei-Jin Style inherited by the honored seniors of Xiangyang.The charming and passion in "Xi Qu" created in Xiangyang among the folk songs of Southern Dynasty;the literati meditation generated by pursuit of the previous style in Tang Dynasty.Chapter II mainly studied the content of literary creation and the reflected social landscape and cultural characteristics in Xiangyang literature on the basis of inheriting the previous literary heritage in Northern Song Dynasty.Most works centered on Xian Mountain and Han River are poems for meditating on the past and chanting,etc.Which present the folklore and natural scenery of Xiangyang;The poems and articles centered on the Banquet and amusement at Xi’s Family Pond show the cultural characteristics of Wei-Jin Style of Xiangyang;the Buddhist literature reflect the grand situations of the spread and development of Buddhism in Northern Song Dynasty;The literary works which were created by Ouyang Xiu,Zeng Gong and Su Shi,etc.When they became officials or traveled in Xiangyang,showcase the social situations of education,learning,water conservancy construction and other aspects of it.Chapter III revealed the qualitative change of Xiangyang literature occurred in Southern Song Dynasty when Xiangyang became an important military place due to the frequent and intense military wars in northern and southern areas.According to the developmental sequence of the military confrontation between three Dynasties in Xiangyang,it combed the relevant poems and analyzed the new development of Xiangyang literature in this period.The subject were mainly about wars,with strong patriotism.This new development was consistent with the patriotic trend of thought in the literature in late Song Dynasty.
