| Mohism is a school of thought that represents the interests of small producers in the late Spring and Autumn Period and the early Warring States Period.Its theory is a real "theory of civilians",and Mo Di is its main representative and founder.Mohism is an important part of Chinese traditional culture,which contains rich ideas of masses view.The development of agriculture,handicraft industry and commerce,social turbulence,political disorder,the decline of traditional aristocracy,the rise of the scholar class and the emerging class are the economic,political and social class foundations for the formation of Mohist masses view;the contending cultural environment and the continuation of people-oriented thought in the Spring and Autumn Period provide space for the development of Mohist masses view.Mohism holds that the masses are the main body of social material production and social governance,and that the majority of the people should control their own destiny.People’s interests are the core content of Mohism’s masses view.This paper uses the standpoint,viewpoint and method of historical materialism to analyze Mohist masses view,and interprets Mohist masses view from four dimensions:subject,value,method and practice.It concludes that Mohist masses view has the characteristics of benefiting the people,equality and chivalry,but also has the limitations of fantasy,contradiction and conservatism.The Mohist Mass View,which originated more than two thousand years ago,still has a strong contemporary value.It can be used for reference in emphasizing the subjective value of the masses,promoting socialist democratic political construction and realizing the sharing of social development achievements. |
