A Study On Translation Of Passive Voice In English Technical Text Based On The Theme-rheme Theory

In recent years,the translation community pays more attention to Systematic Functional Linguistics(SFL),and more and more scholars emphasize on the syntactic structure,but also to the message conveyed by sentences.Among them,ideational function;interpersonal function;textual function all provide new ideas and methods for the field of translation,especially for the translation of English for Science and Technology(EST)more effective.Although the previous people have numerous studies on the translation strategy of passive voice in EST,few people have analyzed it from the perspective of theme-rheme theory.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the Chinese translation of passive voice in EST from the perspective of themerheme theory,and to put forward three translation strategies,taking the translation text of "Military Mountaineering" as an example.In the analysis,the author found that analyzing the translation of passive voice from the perspective of theme-rheme theory will be more in line with the bilingual thinking habits and language characteristics of English and Chinese,and also lay the foundation for the convergence of the whole chapter.
