A Critical Study Of Historical Nihilism In The New Era

Nihilism comes from the long-term spiritual liberation struggle in the West.The original intention is that only the existence that we can really feel can have reality and existence.In addition,all things are empty and false.Historical nihilism is the infiltration of nihilism in the field of social history.The theoretical basis is the Western centrism.The way of thinking is rooted in the idealistic view of history.The core is the issue of historical evaluation.It is purposeful and selective to nihilism in history.Western historical nihilism is advancing against historical materialism,but the result of its development is obvious.The realistic roots of historical nihilism in China are mainly internal and external.On the one hand,the drastic changes in Eastern Europe and the disintegration of the Soviet Union led to the collapse of the socialist camp and the wavering of the belief in Marxism;on the other hand,China’s rapid economic development since the reform and opening up,but also facing the impact of various western social thoughts.The philosophical root of historical nihilism is idealism,which is fundamentally opposite to historical materialism.Only by adhering to the position of historical materialism can we understand the essence of historical nihilism.Historical nihilism embodies capitalist values and is the requirement of bourgeois ideology.Historical nihilism,democratic socialism and new liberalism are essentially bourgeois ideology,philosophical basis is idealism historical view,and values are individual utilitarian values.Marx and Engels criticized Steiner’s thought of extreme personal self-interest,Bakunin’s thought of anti authority and Proudhon’s thought of anarchism thoroughly,summed up the ultimate way of proletarian liberation and the objective law of the inevitable destruction of capitalism,and completed the elaboration of the basic viewpoint of historical materialism.Since the reform and opening up,China’s critical research on historical nihilism has mainly focused on its historical view,epistemology,methodology and essentialism,and has always adhered to the powerful theoretical weapon of historical materialism.There are four measures to deal with historical nihilism in the new era: first,adhere to theoretical criticism;second,strengthen education guidance;third,deepen system reform;fourth,highlight network supervision.The practical significance of criticizing historical nihilism under the guidance of historical materialism is various.It is not only conducive to consolidating the ruling position of the Communist Party of China,but also conducive to strengthening the "four self-confidence",and conducive to the continuation of the cultural tradition of the Chinese nation.
