The Syntactic,semantic And Pragmatic Features Of Oral Style And Literary Style Place Name Stories Comparative Research

Toponymic stories are an important part of toponymic culture.In recent years,with the deepening of the study of geographical names culture,the stories of geographical names have been gradually paid attention to,and the coexistence of multiple versions has caused a lot of debate in the academic circle.This article first defines the concept of place-name stories,and roughly divides them into two categories according to their style: oral version and literary version.Then reviewed the research status of the place name story,clarified the research value and research methods of this topic,and made an introduction to the source of the corpus.Then from the three levels of syntax,semantics and pragmatics,the language of the two versions of Wenzhou’s geographical names story is comprehensively analyzed,studied and compared.At the syntactic level,through statistical analysis of the two versions of the pattern and sentence pattern,it is believed that the structure of the pattern and sentence pattern in the oral version is relatively simple,with few changes in sentences,and the language is spoken in color.Thegrammatical structure and sentence structure in the literary version are more complicated,the sentences change more,and the language has the color of the written language;on the semantic level,through the analysis of the semantic characteristics of the two versions of nouns,verbs and adjectives,the oral version is more Focusing on the faithfulness of the story record,the language is relatively plain and expressive.The literary version focuses more on the readability of the story records,the language is relatively beautiful,and the appeal is strong;at the pragmatic level,it is believed that both versions consciously use the discourse conflict strategy and lexical strategy,but the oral version of the language Straightforward and simple,concise and clear,the language of the literary and artistic version is more subtle and colorful,rich and rigorous,and the choice of both pragmatic strategies is affected by the context,which is mainly manifested by the restriction of the intra-lingual context on it.Context complements it,and extra-linguistic context guides it.
