The Research Of Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji

Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji is a manuscript,now stored in the library of congress of the United States.It is a diary written by an anonymous author on his way from the capital to Ningxia prefecture in the 18th year of Daoguang of the Qing dynasty(1838).It is also the only diary which destination is Ningxia prefecture in the Qing dynasty.The route from the capital to Ningxia,the historical sites along the way,the appointment and other related contents recorded in the book are of great significance to the study of the transportation between the capital and Ningxia prefecture,the historical geography of different places and the appointment of officials in the Qing dynasty.Taking Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji as the research object,this paper makes an in-depth study on Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji by combining the professional knowledge and various literary and historical materials.Specifically,the text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter starts with the literature itself and summarizes the main content,edition features and circulation of Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji.Based on the contents of the diary and other documents and historical materials,the author is proved to be a Li Shi Si Yuan of Li Fan Yuan in Ningxia in the 18th year of Daoguang(1838).After having a clear understanding of the literature and the author,delve into the content of the literature to study the traffic routes,historical sites and the appointment of officials.Chapter two studies the author’s traffic route in Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji.Summarize the author’s traffic route in Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji and investigate the traffic related contents recorded in the diary.Summarize The traffic routes from the capital to Ningxia in Qing dynasty recorded in other literatures,Includes the Shanxi line,Henan line,and the Great Wall line.Analyzes the traffic routes from the capital to Ningxia,discusses the rise and fall of their respective development and the change of their status.On the basis of mastering the traffic route from the capital to Ningxia in the Qing dynasty,analyzes the reasons for the author’s route choice based on the diary content,so as to have a deeper understanding of the route chosen by the author of Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji.Chapter three studies the historical sites and the appointment of officials recorded in the diary.Combining the contents of the diary with other historical documents to investigate the historical sites the author saw along the way,combining with the contents recorded in Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji and the requirements and Suggestions for the officials to take office in Zheng Shu and Guan Zhen Shu of the Qing dynasty,studies the appointment of officials in the Qing dynasty,in order to have a more comprehensive understanding about the author’s trip in Ningxia Chu Chai Ri Ji.
