Latin dance is a new type of sports with the value of fitness, recreation, entertainment and aesthetic culture. With noble temperament and elegant style,Latin dance has become the crystallization of fitness and beauty. It fully demonstrates the harmonious, rhythmic, soft and beautiful bodybuilding temperament,as well as the unique lively, lovely and humorous style of Latin dance, which is favored by the majority of adults. As we all know, healthy life is the premise of creating and enjoying happiness.Physical exercise has increasingly become the most direct and beneficial way to promote people’s physical and mental health. With the development of exercise psychology, the research on physical exercise and psychology has been extended to the field of happiness. As a result, the state has paid more and more attention to people’s health and well-being,and then promulgated the "Comprehensive Fitness Program(2016-2020)" and "Healthy China 2030" and other fitness programs,in order to promote the active participation of citizens in physical exercise, thereby improving their physical and mental health and well-being level.According to the survey report of the State General Administration of Sports,it is still very serious that most of the population interrupt physical exercise after entering the youth period. In addition,68.7%were under 20 years old and 90.5%were under 30 years old. Thus, people’s health and well-being have been paid more and more attention, but at the same time,it has been found that people alienate from physical exercise and do not adhere to exercise, which has threatened their physical and mental health. Therefore, this paper takes Latin dance as a starting point to study the mediating role of self-efficacy in exercise persistence and subjective well-being,in order to improve the subjective well-being and mental health level of adult Latin dance participants, and provide a new research perspective for the related research of subjective well-being and Latin dance. This study explores the relationship between exercise persistence and subjective well-being of self-efficacy by using the methods of literature, questionnaire and mathematical statistics.380 adult Latin dance participants from 9 fitness clubs in Wuhan were empirically studied with questionnaires of basic situation of adult Latin dance participants,self-efficacy questionnaire, exercise persistence questionnaire a-nd comprehensive well-being questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software.Through analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Adult Latin dancers’persistence in exercise, subjective well-being and self-efficacy were above the middle level.(2)There was no significant difference in the subjective well-being of adult Latin dance participants in gender, but there was significant difference in age, marital status, weekly exercise frequency and exercise years.Among them, women’s subjective well-being is higher than men’s;with the increase of age,the subjective well-being is higher, and people over 51 reach the highest level;divorced/widowed people’s subjective well-being is higher than unmarried and married;with the increase of exercise times and years, adult Latin dancers’subjective well-being is higher.(3)Adult Latin dancers’persistence in exercise,self-efficacy,subjective well-being,life satisfaction and positive emotions were positively correlated, but not with negative emotions. It shows that the higher the exercise persistence of adult Latin dancers, the higher the sense of self-efficacy,and the higher the sense of self-efficacy,the higher the subjective well-being.(4)Adult Latin dancers’exercise persistence has a significant positive predictive effect on subjective well-being,and self-efficacy plays a part of mediating role between exercise persistence and subjective well-being.
