Research On The Application Of Grey Tone In Oil Painting Creation

Gray tone is no longer a concept in modern and contemporary context.Its simple and noble tone is endowed with spiritual meaning,bearing the memory of history and Reflectionon culture,and has certain functionality.It is a "high context" expression in painting.In this paper,through the study and reference of the painting ideas and techniques of George Morandi and Luc Tuymans,on the basis of the previous research results of gray tone,the theory is systematically summarized.The paper respectively expounds the concept of gray tone,the case analysis of gray tone in oil painting creation,the application and perception of gray tone in my graduation creation Three parts are discussed.By using the method of literature research,image research and practical creation,this paper explores the color construction method of gray tone in my graduation creation "the heart phase" series and the painting significance extended by gray tone.
