The unique geographical location of Dali determines that its economic development has been an extremely important link in China’s economic development since ancient times, which is related to the prosperity and stability of China’s ethnic minority areas. This study on the basis of previous studies, guided by the historical materialism and dialectical materialism, through reading, combing and summarizing the relevant historical data, works and literature,Han people entering Yunnan in the early-Ming dynasty as the background, from Dali region economic activity in the four aspects:input, output, trade, finance and consumption, presents the basic aspect of the social and economic life in Dali region, analyses the impact and influence of Han people entering Yunnan in the early-Ming dynasty in Dali region economic development. This paper finds that after the wars and conflicts between the late Yuan dynasty and the early-Ming Ming dynasty, the influence of a large number of Han people organized by the Ming government on the social economy of Yunnan was firstly reflected in the huge increase of the labor force. In the early-Ming dynasty, military migration was the main form of immigration to Yunnan. The military migration in Dali area was estimated to reach over 30,000 households, about 100,000 people, while the official population settlement and the registered population of the Ming dynasty were about 20,000 households, indicating that the Han people occupied a large proportion in Dali area.In the early-Ming dynasty, most of these immigrants were concentrated in the important military and political towns.Due to the entry of the Han people in the hinterland and the support of the government, the introduction of farming technology, water conservancy and other handicraft production technology created a good development condition for the social economy of Dali area.In terms of agricultural planting, rice and wheat crops were the main crops in the early-Ming dynasty, and their yields increased since the beginning of harvest, and the change from "crops without grain" to "surplus" was realized.Economic crops,on the other hand, mainly produce tea,but only for the use of local residents. As a result of the mining ban policy in the early-Ming dynasty, the metal mines in Dali area during the reign of Hong Wu to Xuan De rotated waste, which was not enough to occupy a large amount of handicraftproduction. On the other hand, the output of well salt became an important part of the handicraft industry in Dali area in the early-Ming dynasty. In terms of commerce and trade,Dali region overbuilt the cities of prefectures and counties in the early-Ming dynasty, which accelerated the development of local town trade and also led to the rise of some small markets. At the same time,it also promoted the trade between Dali and other regions at home and abroad, which laid a foundation for the commercial development in the middle and late of Ming dynasty. In terms of financial revenue and expenditure, the government income in the early-Ming dynasty was basically used for the salary and education expenditure of officials. The most prominent feature of the finance of Dali region was the self-financing mode of "military expenditure",which reduced the great pressure on the government finance of Dali in the early-Ming dynasty. In terms of residents’ consumption, the living conditions of residents in Dali area in the early-Ming dynasty were relatively stable.
