Seedling Planting Association is a sacrificial ceremony held by Bai people to pray for good weather and good harvest.It is one of the cultural events that Dali Bai people attach great importance to and one of the important carriers of Bai People’s farming sacrifice,cultural performance and folk belief.It is one of the most important parts to study Seedling Planting Association of Bai in Dali.The study of Bai’s farming culture is the key to expand and enrich the study of Chinese farming culture.Dali Bai Seedling Planting Association is the fourth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage in Yunnan Province,which is represented by Zhoucheng village,Xizhou Town,Dali City,Dali Prefecture.The ritual process of Seedling Planting Associationis sacred and solemn,which is the embodiment of Bai People’s folk beliefs,social relations and cultural relations.This paper is divided into four parts to study the Seedling Planting Association of Bai in Dali: the first part discusses the ritual habitat of the Seedling Planting Association of Bai in Dali from two aspects of natural habitat and cultural habitat;the second part describes the ritual process of the Seedling Planting Association of Bai in Dali from the pre ceremony preparation,opening and closing the gate;the third part analyzes the cultivation from the perspective of ritual elements,ritual functions and ritual symbols The fourth part discusses the cultural value and heritage protection of Seedling Planting Association.Seedling Planting Association is a ritual of farming sacrifice for Dali Bai people.It is an act of understanding and transforming nature.It is an expression of religion and primitive belief of Dali Bai people.It is a means of eliminating disasters and praying for good luck.It is also a way of Strengthening Dali Bai People’s recognition of traditional culture.The unique geographical location,climatic conditions and social environment of Dali region nourish the Bai People’s rice Seedling Planting Association.Seedling Planting Association is mainly composed of two parts: opening and closing the rice planting door.It has the functions of labor,entertainment,religious sacrifice,adjusting social relations,uniting families and villages,and building a harmonious relationship between man and nature.Among them,the flag of seedling planting,foot washing beans,and the change of location all have their symbolic significance.Seedling Planting Association is a treasure of Dali intangible cultural heritage,which has great historical,cultural and modern value.However,in the existing inheritance and protection,there aresome problems to be solved,such as weak spontaneity,strong official color and weak awareness of the younger generation.How to effectively transfer the historical origin and cultural connotation of the Seedling Planting Association to the younger generation,how to effectively enhance the cultural identity and interest of the public,and how to inherit the Seedling Planting Association more persistently and effectively are the difficulties of this paper.
