| Food packaging text has multiple functions such as conveying food information to consumers,representing the images of products and manufacturers,and undertaking the heavy task of spreading Chinese food culture.However,the translation of all kinds of food on the current market is complicated and full of mistakes.This research report is mainly based on field research and website research,and conducts research on the current situation of Chinese-English translation of food packaging texts.This research principally studies the Chinese-English translation of various domestic food packaging texts from physical stores and food websites,and collects 500 different domestic foods through field and online survey methods,and analyzes the translation phenomenon and reasonableness and unreasonableness of translation problems.The results of this research report are aimed at improving the translation quality of food packaging texts,and providing reference for relevant departments to establish standardized norms. |
